Mums help! My baby is 6 weeks old, since birth ( c section baby ) suffered with mucus pooling in her mouth, at first 1 week old was told viral bronchitis, after multiple tests 48 hours everything came back negative, GP then advised he thinks it’s from the section as babies aren’t pushed out they have a build up, taken back to the GP at 4 week old as it continued given infant gaviscon to try ( baby is formula fed on Aptimal ) half a sachet in every bottle, baby feeds every 3/4 hours around 3/4oz at a time, it seems to have helped a little with the reflux which is what we are thinking it is silent reflux as is not often sick and still having wet nappies and takes milk fine, pooing around every 24 hours sometimes more and they are not pebble like, but the wind is constant, and this now seems to be causing ALOT of pain meaning baby is only sleeping 1 hour stints at night when she’s not physically held up right, google has too many contact GP and Health Visitor, GP advises wait for 6-8 week review but this is not for another 2 weeks and health visitors advise everything I’ve already done… do I stop the gaviscon and try Aptimal Reflux milk or try a different milk alternative altogether? I’d like the mum advice if anybody has experienced similar.

We gave our son aptimil for over a year and he was the worst sleeper. We didn’t think they were linked but then we had all of our milk reimbursed because it was contaminated. There are lots of articles if you google it about the bad batches of aptimil but it says they were effecting his stomach and that could have been why his sleep was affected so badly. Changing his formula has gotten rid of all his problems and he started sleeping better instantly. Hope it stops for you quickly xx

Both my boys where cmpa and reflux babies, now baby girl defiantly has signs of silent reflux I was given the option for gaviscon but decided to try swapping her milk from sma to kendemil comfort and see if that helps first I've done that and swapped to lansinoh teats on the bottles they take less air in and she has a slight tongue tie, I've also started kendemil pro comfort drops and dont to speak too soon but she seems happier, they told me not to do the reflux milk because it can cause constipation and she's struggled with that previously so we've gone with the comfort milk

if you gave birth via caesarean, would it bother you if someone asked if you gave birth “naturally or by caesarean” (nothing to do with whether you were medicated).
When I gave birth I always answered “vaginally” to others and they seemed uncomfortable 🤣 there was nothing natural about that shit show lmao

Hi, not expecting a diagnosis obviously but maybe just some opinions and or advice. I have a nearly 4 month old. I’ve been to my doctor re my mental health and they have told me to do a self referral for some talk therapy but it looks like it could take a few months. I’m really struggling but I don’t know if it’s a normal amount as a new first time mum or something more. I feel very low a lot of the time, crying most days but not every day, feeling isolated (no mum friends), feeling like I’m not enjoying being a mum as much as I hoped, missing my old life and freedom, struggling with patience and the constant crying and fussing, feeling like it’s Groundhog Day, jealous of my husbands life, feeling like I’m not doing a good enough job, worrying I’m not doing things well enough and it will negatively affect her, only feeling better when I have people with me who know about kids and can step in and help eg in laws etc. I have tried hard to work on being positive, I get out for multiple walks every day, I’ve joined a sensory class, I’m on this app but I feel like none of it is really working or doing much. I feel like I’m ticking boxes of things that should help but I’m not making any mum friends and honestly a lot of the time it feels like I’m masking. Sometimes I get so upset and cry and I can’t really explain why….

After lots of research, shop visits and trying different options, we’ve narrowed it down to the Joolz Aer², Silver Cross Nia and Bugaboo Butterfly.
We’re looking for one lightweight pushchair that is sturdy enough for everyday use, easy to carry as we live somewhere with no lift, and practical for travel too. We’d really prefer not to buy multiple pushchairs for different purposes, so ideally we want something that can work from newborn through to later toddler years.
We have tried all 3 and I feel in terms of sturdiness, Bugaboo would be the most sturdy, followed by Nia and then Joolz Aer2. Aesthetically and colour wise, I do prefer the Nia design.
Has anyone used any of these as their main everyday pushchair from birth? Would love to hear your experience and recommendations.

Hi, I am going to be a first time mum in December, at the moment we have a double bed in the spare room (which is going to be the nursery) my initial plan was to sell the bed, do people think this is a good idea.
Or during the night do you think it’s good to have in case baby won’t settle, and I can sleep in the spare room with him.
Preferably I would want to sleep in the same bed as my partner so hopefully won’t need it.
I just wondered what other people did?

I’m feeling quite guilty.. I’m exclusively breastfeeding and my baby is 10 weeks now, my husband is in the navy also which means me and baby alone most night. I’ve found myself just ending up co sleeping just because it happens, I feed then fall asleep and that’s how I sleep. When he was smaller and a new born or if me or if me and my husband are both in the bed I always prefer him and feel better with him in the next to me but when it’s just me is it okay to co sleep. Any tips on how to stay safe? I feel guilty because all my family hate it and the idea of it and I do too but non of them have ever breastfed.
