Postpartum complications

I’m so frustrated. I had a terrible birth. 54hr Induction (due to preeclampsia), 5hrs of pushing, forceps delivery, and 4th degree tear. I thought that would be the worst of it and I’d be able to move on with my life and just enjoy motherhood. nope nope. I’m still bleeding and terribly dizzy & fatigued. I passed a huge clot around 7 weeks PP and went to ER where they saw retained placenta on ultrasound so they did a manual vacuum aspiration. I thought that was it! Problem solved, I’ll start to feel better. Now I’m 9 weeks PP, still bleeding, still dizzy so I got another ultrasound and there’s still MORE. So I’m having a D&C tomorrow. I’ve not had one day of relief from the bleeding and dizziness since I had my son. I can’t even remember what it’s like to feel normal. I feel like no one can understand or relate to what I’m going through. I didn’t even know bits placenta could be retained until it happened to me. Anyone else going through this or similar?

Braxton hicks

I haven’t experienced ANYYY painful braxton hicks during my pregnancy. absolutely 0! it’s just been “oh that’s solid” and maybe just a bit harder to breathe. no pain or even discomfort, AT ALL!

I am kind of annoyed by this. because yes, it’s nice. but I have never had a baby before. I feel like because I’ve experienced NO pain, it’ll make labour feel even worse. if that makes sense? obviously even if you’ve had painful braxton hicks, labour is still painful. but it probably isn’t AS bad as you’ve experienced practice ones..you know?? so you know at least a little percent of what you’ll be feeling/dealing with.

I’m just scared I’m COMPLETELY UNPREPARED for the pain. does anyone else feel the same?
