My LO has gone almost 8 days without a poo now…he’s still passing wind and seems quite happy in his wake windows, but I’m really worried this isn’t normal. We’re on holiday at the moment so can’t go to the doctor, however I’m thinking of getting him some baby safe laxitives. Does anyone else has experience with this?

I wouldn't give any meds unless a doctor says, is baby only having milk or having solids?

he’s 90% breastfeed with a few tastes of solids, he’s had prunes and some Greek yoghurt and some sweet potato…all pharmacies shut tomorrow (currently in Spain) so was worrying if we should do something tonight

Oh I just remembered reading someone its common for breastfed babies to go longer without pooping as because they drink as much as they need theres not a whole lot of waste thats produced but since hes had solids id definitely speak to someone but wouldn't give any medication before talking to someone though, maybe try prunes again and a few sips of water

Same here, my little one goes once a week or maybe less than that since we introduced solids. Took him to a GP who checked him and said it’s just normal constipation. They have us a laxative which didn’t really help 😂 he is also happy in between feeds 🤷🏻♀️

My little girl went 11 days without pooping when she first started solids. She was totally fine other than that so the doc wasn’t concerned. I gave her some warm water with a squeeze of orange and then the explosion came the next day!

Are you giving water every time your baby has solids? (Cooled boiled water). This helps prevent constipation. Also I found with my daughter that there is such thing as too much fibre which caused her to be constipated. She’s ebf outside of solids and the longest she’s gone without a 💩 is 3 days, but otherwise she goes once a day. Also with the yoghurt did you do a tiny bit first and wait a couple days to check for reaction before going in with more? It could be that he doesn’t process dairy well. I wouldn’t think 11 days without a poo is normal - they are just mini humans so we have to think about what we would consider abnormal if it was happening to us. Really sorry you’re experiencing this though and so glad you’ve posted to question it - follow your gut 🙏
So me and my mum were just in the playground with my 21 month old. We made our way to a little playhouse and there was another little boy who seemed the same age, maybe a little older with his dad and older brother nearby.
I looked at the dad and he seemed so laid back he might aswell of been laid in the bushes. One earphone in, kind of looked distant.
I encourage my son into this playhouse, holding his hand. The little boy comes over and basically barges his way in and stands in the way so my son couldn’t come in. I’m obviously still encouraging him to go in and trying to chat to this little boy about how nice the playhouse is.
He swipes some leaves and sticks off a little table inside which makes my son jump so he steps back and this little boy leaves. He then follows us to the slide and he’s using his body to basically block my son. Kicking his leg so he can’t get on. The slide was massive and attached to a massive climbing frame. There was plenty of space for several kids.
It got to the point where we had to explain to this little boy that his behaviour isn’t very nice and to stop. The dad was on his phone still with an earphone in.
Now I try my hardest, even more so now I’m a mum to not judge and fully understand kids are kids and sharing, social skills ect are being learnt but I feel like those kids were in charge of their dad, not the other way around. At what point do you stop being so understanding and throat punch the dad 🤷🏽♀️

From the moment I gave birth to a boy I’ve been hearing comments about how he’s going to be rude and mess with all the girls and he won’t have any behavior. I don’t understand why they insist and on saying these things just because he’s a boy is this normal comment for a baby boy?

Baby is currently 4 weeks old…I love her to bits but I DREAD her wake windows, as horrible as that sounds😖
She’s rarely content or happy when she’s awake. If she’s awake she’s crying or screaming. I actually get scared for when she might wake up because she gets herself in such a state.
Has anyone else felt this way? Or am I just an awful mum lol.
Im hoping this gets better once baby is a bit older & can interact more with things/play/laugh etc

So my baby is 12 months in about 2 weeks. I put her down at 8 or 9 pm but she wakes up every 45 mins or so stands in her cot and cries then I go in rock her to sleep again takes 10-15 mins. She does 3-4 times by 1 am. I tend to do my chores and want some me time but i have to keep going back to her to put her back to sleep. By 1 am i get to bed scroll a little and sleep and she is up again at 4 am i feed her. Then she will stay up for 2 hours and then go back to sleep again for 2-3 hours and even then she will be up 2-3 times and me having to rock her back to sleep. I don’t know why she keeps waking up? I feel like i get no time to myself. I don’t mind her waking up but not this many times.

Hey ladies, I tried breastfeeding but being a first time mum I was so worried about my baby not getting enough and being accused of neglect, that I switched to bottle feeding. Since I made the decision I have been racked with guilt, shame and regret and now I'm wanting to go back to breastfeeding. Has anyone got any tips to get my milk going again?
