My girl is 6 weeks, she is usually drinking 100-120ml per feed and lately its been taking her really long time, she almost always falls asleep towards the end and sometime the nipple collapses from her sucking so hard.
I was going to move her from extra slow flow to slow, but when offered the faster flow she seems to drown - lots of coughing, milk spilling out of her mouth jo matter how much I’m trying to pace her.
I’m not sure if I should just keep offering it to her and give her chance to figure out she doesn’t have to suck so hard anymore or if to switch back to extra slow flow.

My baby was crying and getting really annoyed when taking tommee tippee bottles because she was sucking so hard the teet kept going inside the bottle but then the size up was so fast she was also coughing and spiting it up so i tried using anti colic ones and it worked and for the teet as couldn’t go inside out bc the anti colic was in the way but still annoyed at the slow flow so then justI decided to change bottles completely to mam bottles and she’s honestly on size 2 mam teets and it’s just what she needed not had a problem with these ones (as of yet) x

The same thing happened to 1 of my twins in Tommee Tippee bottles! We tried to move to extra slow but he was just falling asleep then we tried the nipple shaped teats and n he’s much better. We now have 1 twin on nipple shaped and the other on the original shape, both slow flow not extra slow x

My 6 week old is the same! Takes anywhere between 25 mins to an hour for her to finish a bottle. Mostly about 40 minutes. Tried the level 2 teat (dr browns bottles) yesterday and felt like she was drowning, coughing, gagging, milk spilling out. Dont know what to do!

We have recently visited the breastfeeding clinic with our 5 weeks girl. The midwife was v nice, she guided us v well about the pace feeding, keeping use in up right position while feeding so that she’s not gulping. The feeding should be slow to mimic the breast (on Lansinoh bottles with xs teats) and she said it takes 15-20 min for the brain to get signal of fullness, thus slow or pace feeding might be fine for now. Take some advice from midwife

3-5 min for an ounce or a bit longer is also not too bad
I see so many women on social media claiming to be having sex as soon as the 6 week check is done, and I'm wondering if this is the norm? My libidos has been through the floor for months. 😴

Hi mamas, my baby is 12 weeks and hates going on a walk in the pram with the bassinet insert. She’ll sit in there for like 10 minutes before crying and making a big fuss and then I have to hold her all the way home in one hand and pushing the pram in the other which is not very ideal when I’m not near home😅 I’ve tried baby carrying but I really just want her to stay in the pram. Any tips please? Is it just a matter of time thing?

I’ve been really struggling with maternity leave and feeling completely detached and angry (sadly with my son). Just wanted to hear from people that got through similar, I’m starting therapy next week and my baby is 7 weeks old.

My baby has her 8 week check up and jabs on Monday and I’ve heard that you need to give babies calpol before the appointment? My doctor hasn’t said to do this and I know someone who was told to do this so not sure what the correct thing is. I know I need it for after her jabs, just not sure on before.

She’s been up all night with a temperature is very unsettled and upset.. she’s already had her 4 doses of calpol in 24 hours (last doses given at 4am) I don’t know how I can wait until 1 to give her next dose .. anyone else feel instant regret ? Or have any advice

Tried to sell it on fb marketplace but no luck. Other shops/charities/online platforms that worth trying? (UK only)
