I've got pressure on my pelvis all the time it feels like, occasional period like cramps
Produced Colostrum already as my boobs self expressed
What do I do, already called maternity triage and to be honest the midwife who answered made me feel like I was being silly, I get its a sunday but she really didnt want to be listening to me

I’ve got pelvic pain as well I called maternity Triage and the midwife said they to me it’s pelvic girdle pain and get pain relief over the counter at a pharmacy I haven’t used painkillers for my pain with pelvic pressure or the pain I’ve had hot baths or showers to help with it I’m 36 weeks 5 days pregnant today and still got the pressure on my pelvis due to my baby being very low now so I’ve been resting when I can and having plenty of hot showers or baths when it gets to much for me x

It’s quite normal at this stage, I’ve had it for over a week now and with my other two pregnancies, your little one is head down and getting ready :)

Sounds very normal as to what to expect. You have colostrum from about 16 weeks I think it is, and braxton hicks are normal. Everything around the pelvis is relaxing ready for birth and baby is weighing more and moving further down.

I’ve had the same, I came in today with reduced movements over the last few days and they’ve kept me in for monitoring due to the pelvic pressure and period like burning cramps as it could be pre term labour. Just on the ward now and waiting to be seen by the labour ward midwife to see what’s happening. I’d go and get checked up. Could be normal and could very well be braxton hicks but I’ve been ignoring mine for a few days now and could actually be labour 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll keep you up to date and message me if you want to x

you can get the day unit to prescribe you stronger painkillers that are preg safe. I’ve been taking Codydramol for a few months to manage sciatic and pelvic girdle pain. It’s not flawless but definitely better than paracetamol. Then your gp can prescribe with the prescription make sure they give you a copy with their prescribing details on
Also not cool you were made to feel silly by the way. You’re never silly for checking on yourself and baby, thankfully my midwives make that very clear, but don’t be disheartened by that experience and always do what’s best for you!

I'm sorry they made you feel silly for calling 😔 I do think pelvic pressure and cramps/braxton hicks is normal at this stage but they should have been able to reassure you and offer you some practical advice! If you were really worried then they should have offered for you to come in and be checked just for reassurance IMO 🤷🏼♀️ I'd say warm baths and showers can help as well as making sure you rest and stay well hydrated (dehydration can make braxton hicks worse). If it's still an issue definitely call again and ask for more specific advice xx
My due date isn’t until next week, but I feel like I’m the only one still pregnant 🤣 Very much ready to welcome baby boy now!
