Trying for baby number 2

When we decided to try for baby number 1, I was already pregnant. We have now decided to try for baby number 2 and I just wanted peoples advice on what worked and if they took anything to help conceive. I have irregular periods so I’m a bit more anxious.

Honestly, we tried for like 4-6 months then as soon as we stopped trying and decided "well, next year might be better" and 2 months later our little girl was conceived (currently 27 wks with her). My best advice is stop stressing over it, say it out loud "let's stop trying rn" and just relax, have fun with your SO, and also try to start eating better. I feel like in our case, the mix of relaxing and taking better care of our bodies made the magic happen. Still have fun but not with the pressure of creating a little one

When we decided it was time to try for a baby we just had sex around the clock😅😂

Also from a girly who use to have irregular periods. (Doctors will use birth control to control period regulation) Make sure to be off birth control for a good amount of time before trying because it does affect the likely hood of conceving for 3 - 6 months after you stop taking it that includes all forms not just the pill.

Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)

After BP checks came back higher than normal, I was sent to maternity triage for further checks. My bloods came back fine except ALT which was at 35. Normal range is 0-34.

Has anyone had experience of this and what does it mean?

I have two further BP appointments booked for Saturday and next Monday. I’ll be 29 weeks tomorrow.

Limited help from village

Any mamas here who have very little help from their village and have one or more children? How do you cope?

My family lives abroad and they are so willing to help, but unfortunately due to the distance and time apart, they can't help us much and can only do so when they visit us or if we go and visit them. My in laws live about 40 mins drive but even when we meet, they don't really help and it's more like social visits. I wished it was swapped around that my parents were the ones who were closer to us so they could help us time and time again. We thought of having a second one before, but I really don't know how we can cope given the very limited support we have currently.

Feeling all the feels

Oct 19th would have been the due date for the baby I miscarried at the beginning of the year. Also currently in the 2 week wait of this TTC cycle. Feeling sad, angry and overwhelmed. There would be something so beautiful about getting a positive this month but I can’t help but feel guilty and scared. Trying to remain positive and focus on our son but the background noise is relentless

Frozen embryo transfer in February

Is anyone planning to do a frozen embryo transfer in February.
We’ve just got our consultant appointment through for November then hopefully we’ll be starting treatment on my January cycle.

Looking for people in the same boat that I can talk to as we are keeping it a secret from family.

Thank you
