breastfed baby constipation

My baby is 9 months old next week and for the past few days her poop is coming out like the consistency of your playdough.

I went to the gp today as she has been having less nappies during the day but super heavy ones over the night.

The doctor told me all is well, shes not dehydrated and she’s growing and weighing on track. She said it’s most likely constipation and for me to just keep breastfeeding her and giving her small amounts of water as well as fruits

has anyone gone though this with their exclusively BF baby?

i’m slightly worried

Yes we went through a similar phase as my little one started eating more solids and decreased the amount of times she was breastfeeding in a day. I now have a sippy cup of water around her when we’re playing so she can drink whenever she feels like it, has helped with the constipation massively 🙌🏼

It doesn't sound like constipation to me, could her poos just be becoming more solid due to eating more food? My baby is EBF and his poos have changed a lot recently and have become a bit less frequent as he's eating more!

MIL keeps planning to have a sleepover with my EBF 6 month old

She’s too pushy and I’ve said no endless times. It’ll be very stressful for him. I don’t pump because I don’t like it and my baby doesn’t like bottles. I’m currently trying to break nurse-sleep association. It doesn’t make any sense to attempt a sleepover because it’ll be just stressful for baby and I. I just can’t be asked to keep saying NO. It’s almost harassment. I said it’ll eventually happen once I’m back to work, not while I’m in mat leave as I don’t want to be away from my son yet. How can I approach this in a friendly way? She’s just too much sometimes and I’ve been very friendly and open about the idea, but not about the timing.

Won’t take bottles

I’ve returned to work and my breast fed baby girl will NOT take to any bottle. I have tried so many. Any suggestions?

First time Mom

Due in 2 weeks, what is better for postpartum for bleeding? Using pads or diapers?

Mounjaro

Is mounjaro allowed to be taken whilst breastfeeding? I’m not on it yet, but considering it as it’s the only thing that helps me lose some weight due to my health conditions.

When to stop sterilising?

My baby girl is 3 months and already so curious, grabbing things she shouldn’t, touching things that are a bit dirtier than I would like eg the floor and the rugs lol. Then she puts her hands straight in her mouth. I plan to keep sterilising her bottles etc for a while.

But curious when to stop, because at some point they are digesting bacteria anyways? Or is it still important to sterilise up until 1 year because of milk bacteria etc?

Numbness

I’m SURE it’s been asked before, but I’m over a year postpartum and still have no feeling in my scar area. I sometimes get an intense itch that can only stop with wicked hot water but that’s it. Anyone else have the same?
