My little one is 5 weeks old today. I suspected CMPA as my first child had this, although looking back was extremely mild! (Spit up and eczema).
He got constipated when we switched to formula on day 10, so after several days we went onto cow & gate comfort. He took this great, until the loose, mucus poos started! He would also arch his back during and after feeds and was obviously uncomfortable.
So we went to Dr's and tried SMA Althera - he refused the milk.
Then we tried Nutramigen, which caused him so much pain!
So we went back to comfort as it was the lesser of the discomfort.
I was researching and we decided to try anti reflux and OMG he was a different baby instantly, so much calmer during/after feeds and altogether in general, he slept better and all looked good, until the constipation started! Poor boy is so upset trying to pass the tiniest little lump (its not super hard, but he's obviously struggling).
But anyway... I'm so lost with what to do... I feel so guilty for chopping and changing him so much in the last 3 weeks.
Any other mums go through anything similar? Any words of wisdom would be great ❤️

Have you tried WINDI gas passer? Haven't tried it myself but have friends for whom it really worked xx

we are on reflux milk and doctor prescribed lactulose for the constipation when needed alongside the formula x

I think I will be asking for lactulose, or to go back to normal milk and omeprazole perhaps... its so difficult to know what to do 😩
Hi! I can’t stand the weird smell of any of the blue non bio washing stuff. Is there anything else that can be used for washing newborn? Something that smells a bit better 😬

Hi
I need to stop dream feeding my baby at night when he wakes up. How do you do this or transition? He is mainly breastfed but I’ve started to give a bottle on the night on the last feed before he sleeps

Anyone else a c section, co sleeping, breastfeeding mama and your body is just in bits? I don’t know if my bed is just uncomfortable postpartum or if it’s my body and cosleeping/breastfeeding positions. I feel like stretching helps a little but my hips and lower back especially are awful, but generally I just feel so achy and uncomfortable most of the time. Is it just me?

I'm curious...when your baby wakes overnight, what is it waking them up? Is it hunger or something else? My little boy (breastfed) only wakes for two nights feeds (which is great!) but wakes himself up after wriggling/flapping about in his sleep every 1.5/2 hours too 😬
