How long did y’all pump?

I’m just wondering for how long did my fellow working mom’s pump? I’ve been breastfeeding my son for almost seven months and I’ve been back at work and pumping for about three months now. But it’s exhausting pumping at work. I really want to make it to a year for breastfeeding. But I’m kind of dreading go past that. I mean, I would love to continue breastfeeding my baby into the toddler years because I love breastfeeding him. It’s just the pumping at work that I absolutely hate. I guess I just need some encouragement. How long did other working and pumping moms out there go for? Did anyone keep pumping into the toddler years?

I'm in the same boat! Going close to 7 months pumping (2 months at work) and I hate it!!! Ugh my boss is super accommodating and we have a nice pump room which I know is rare but every day is a struggle.

I plan to try to make it a year. I’m three months in, and went to work this week. I hate the pumping at work, and I literally JUST STARTED. After a year I may continue to breastfeed, but stop pumping and supplement where needed. I don’t want to pump a second longer than the first year lol. But I do feel some weird obligation to make it to a year, even though I know there’s nothing wrong with formula lol 🤷‍♀️

My pump kicked the bucket after about 10 months so I stopped then. It had been slowly dying for a few months before that so my supply had dropped off. Thankfully I had over 200 oz saved in the freezer so I was able supplement with that and then he switched to formula at daycare and nursed at home. We completely stopped nursing 1 week after he turned 1.
