Yes, I got it done when I was 6 weeks pregnant. They actually recommend you get one done because you can pass antibodies to the baby! It’s safe mama!

I am asthmatic too but i didn't take one i was too concerned especially with the situation now... baby and i were fine...

Hey I had mine yesterday, suppose it’s each persons decision but I was advise to so went ahead and it didn’t hurt or have any side effects :) x

I'm having mine done at my 34 week appointment I work for the nhs so would have had mine done before but on holiday now

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and also have asthma, I had the flu jab last week! It is recommended by health professionals. I had no side effects, not even an achey arm this time! Xx

I’m going to ring up and get booked in (33 weeks tomorrow) it’s meant to protect you but baby also for the first few weeks x

Got mine done. I have a healthy happy baby. Your body can pass the antibodies to baby.

I had mine at 20 ish weeks, I would get it if you have ashtma for sure.

I'm unsure what to do too. I have asthma but most years don't have the vaccine and always been fine. It worries me as usually after a flu jab I feel worse and with being pregnant you have a lower immune system, im worried that side effects could be worse and also if I was to catch covid my immune system wouldn't fight it as well. Its a difficult decision xx

I feel like I harp on about this a lot but please please please get the flu jab. It is not a live vaccine they give to adults so can’t possibly give you flu. You may have mild side effects but not flu. Also can you imagine catching flu and Covid at the one time? Flu can be fatal for pregnant women. To those who say ‘never had the flu jab and always been fine’ that’s just luck that you’ve never caught flu.

So I never get the flu shot normally but because im pregnant this year i went ahead and got it. The flu shot as said above cannot make you sick and although some may still get the flu after having the shot thats because there are various different strains.... its still important you get it because your baby won't be able to and you will give them antibodies. Personally I told everyone that if they dont get their flu shot and quarantine then they can't see the baby after he's born for a while.

I am 22 weeks pregnant, I called GP to book flu jab today and they told me I can’t book it as I am not over 65 and 65+ are priority 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🙄🙄🙄

Do you have to prove you are pregnant to get it for free? I haven't had my first scan yet....what did you do? (To anyone that has had it) did you just call up to book somewhere?

I had a text message from my doctors telling me I was elegable for the flu jab,I'm 33 weeks pregant
You will flag up to have it at some point

Just to let you know BBC news have released an article today saying flu jab is ‘essential’ for pregnant women this winter!

These are the names of the flu vaccines being given in 2020. FluQuadri, Vaxigrip Tetra, Fluarix Tetra and Afluria Quad.
Note: ingredients in the flu jab are proven to cause inflammation for the Mom and Baby. Speak to your Dr. prior to making your decision.
