Is it me or is pregnancy stressful?

When we got pregnant I knew I’d be worried about miscarriage the first trimester but I did not realize how stressful pregnancy was going to be! Your mind is constantly wondering “is everything okay?” At 7 weeks I had bleeding and was told heartbeat was a little low. At that point I thought I was going to lose the baby. At 10 weeks I was freaking out because my symptoms were easing up. At 20 weeks I was terrified for the scan praying everything would be perfect. Then I get diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis after a terrible interaction with the doctor. At 26 weeks I was in the doctors office for reduced movement. Now at 29 weeks I’m having crazy amounts of Braxton Hicks and come to find out the infection is back (or never went away)! Now I’m terrified for preterm labor as that’s associated with the infection I have.

Is it me ladies? Am I just an anxious mess or is pregnancy way more stressful than you ever expected? I’m not even “high risk” and yet I’m in a state of constant worry.

Wayyyyy more stressful that i could have ever anticipated. I have worried about everything, ectopic in the beginning then whether thered be a heartbeat at 12 weeks same for 20 week scan and i cried when we got our blood results for chromosome conditions as i was 1 in 18000 and felt it should have been higher 18000 isnt that high. Its been the most anxious 28 weeks of my life. Baby is on my mind 99% of the time and i feel guilty if i miss movements if im busy. My partner is ready to murder me ha ha. Now i feel baby move properly im easing a little but its still such a rollercoaster of feelings x

I think all of us mummy's have similar worries and had a few scares (reduced movements) etc throughout. Don't worry you're not alone.❤️ My anxiety also increased at around 32/33 weeks.. But speak to your midwife if you feel overwhelmed and your anxiety is getting out of control. Take care you're going to be an amazing mummy xx

Nope you are definitely not alone in this. I also think my pregnancy was anxiety packed and constant worrying if everything is ok?
But I think it’s like that for evey women that is pregnant... maybe some look at it with a little bit less anxiety and worry but in general I think every women has worry over the pregnancy. It’s also the hormones and everything is a new experience.
But omg just wait until the baby comes... don’t want to scare you but the amount you worry now... it doubles when the baby comes. Or maybe it’s just me...
But you’re doing great. Keep breathing and all will be good. 😊

It is stressful. I was also anxious during my pregnancy because I had a miscarriage the first time I was pregnant. I was so nervous before every doctors appointment.

You have had a lot of things happen that are scary so it makes sense that you are anxious. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and try to stay positive.

Absolutely, I am only eight weeks but after miscarriages I am terrified something is wrong. Especially when my symptoms aren’t as strong. I’m not needing the loo as often any more and my boobs are not as sore.
I’m getting regular scans due to my history and even a week apart I’m still worried something has changed.
Had a lamb steak last night which was slightly pink and some bacon which wasn’t a crisp this morning and convinced myself I will get toxoplasmosis.
I know I need to chill out but it is so hard when you care so much.
There is always something to worry about!
