Finished Nursery

It’s been a work in progress but I finally finished my sons nursery 3 weeks before his induction date 😆 I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.. any advice on how to keep expectations low for an OCD mama-to-be? I’m a clean freak so I doubt it’ll stay this way once baby is here 🙃

Love love love! 😍

I love it! Try to remind yourself that everything being perfect is not a priority once he’s here. Maybe schedule one hour a day to cleaning so it never gets too bad. I’m in a better mood when things around me are clean. But don’t beat yourself up if you just can’t find time. You’re adjusting to a new life. And maids are always a click away if absolutely needed. 😉

Do little bits daily rather than a deep clean weekly. And half the jobs with hubbie 🤣🤣🤣 x

Awh I love this! I’ve screen shot to add to my moon bored! I think nursery’s stay clean for ages because babies aren’t in them unattended, it’s when they get to toddlers and you turn around to put something in the bin and they’ve smeared the pot of sudocream over their face 🙈 haha this room can stay clean for another year ❤️ xxx

Amazing!! 😍😍 where is 🦁 basket from?

Beautiful

Everything is Beautiful!! 😍 where are the letters of the name from? Crib sheet and green background are color coordinated 👍🏼

Thank you for appreciating my husbands handy work 😁 he spent 2 full days working on the wall and the crib sheets are from target (I matched it to the changing table cover too)

I bought the letters from Etsy - from ModWoodCo. She was fantastic and easy to purchase from. She sent me a mock up of what the custom letters would look like and they gave me a realistic expectation of when my shipment would arrive.

LOVE IT!!!

Oh wow this is amazing im so jealous! X

Looks great. I love that green.

I really like the green & neutral colours. This room looks lovely 😊

Looks lovely x

This is beautiful! So much space 😍 Our bedrooms upstairs (main floor) are pretty small. Our two rooms downstairs are huge but we didn't wanna put the nursery downstairs.

Damn that's nice!!!!!

I’m always curious with these beautiful nurseries that are all set up before the baby is born. Baby sleeps in the same room as mum to start with so is it just not used for a while?

I used mine to sometimes play in, give him a bath in and I'd pop him in the cot when I showered to get him used to it before they moved in there overnight. I'd also sometimes feed in there at night

Thank you! It’s been a work in progress and an accomplishment to say the least 😁but that’s what I plan on doing: nursing, changing diapers and using as a storage space for all his toys once he can start playing with them

I love this!

Wow this looks so lovely x

I love it!!! I’m also OCD, you’ll be surprised how clean it’ll stay, probably until he’s on the move. Don’t be surprised if you rearrange some things. Once he’s here you’ll see what flow works best for you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve reorganized the dresser, changing table or his closet.

This looks phenomenal! I love it!!

This is absolutely stunning!! Love it!

I’m constantly rearranging and organizing. My sons things definitely outnumber my husband and I’s. He has completely taken over. But they make nice looking kids toys that aren’t colorful or loud. My son will be 2 next month and he cleans up after himself because I’ve taught him too. At 8-9 months when he was crawling he would sit by a shelf with 4 toys on it. No little pieces for obvious reasons. He would play with a toy and watch me put it back when he would get another. By a year he was doing it. I think the problem is the amount out. Too many things can overwhelm a child at any age. Limiting what’s out until they are ready for more creative and longer lasting play is huge!!

It’s beautiful! I love the green panelling - did you do this yourself? And what type of plant is that? Looks perfect, well done 👏🏻

Ooohh thanks for letting me know, I’ll keep my eye out for one of those plants and commission my partner to do a little DIY project for a panelled wall (I don’t stand a chance!) You’ve both done a superb job, what a lucky little boy!

Thank you! My husband did it himself, our walls are textured so he had to sand that down first to get it smooth, then painted it white and then used our green coat 2-3 times before adding the paneling. It wasn’t difficult, it was just time consuming and took 2 full days. The plant is an elephant ear plant ☺️ it went along with the safari theme I had lol

I want to do the same accent wall for my soon to be daughter’s nursery!! Was it difficult to do? Any tips?

Awesome, thank you! Our walls are textured so I’ll relay that to my hubby 😅 also where did you get that storage dresser in front of the window??

If you have textured walls smoothing it out by sanding it down first and then painting the same wall color over the pieces that weren’t smooth will help create the smooth wall texture. Other than that I’d say it was pretty easy just make sure you take into account spacing of each panel because we had to move one after we already nailed it into the wall (it was off centered by 1.5 inches and it’s very noticeable 😅)

Omg LOVE that wall and the letters 😍

I love it !!!! Where’s the crib from ????!!!!

Wayfair! The furniture set was on back order but I got it in August when I got the email that I was back in stock. Definitely sturdy and easy to assemble 👌🏽

Looks wonderful! It looks like everything has a rightful place so it shouldn’t be terrible. I am also a neat freak and plan to keep up with it all as best I can because the nursery just looks so good all tidy!

Oh my goodness this is so beautiful!

Where is the chair from?

We got the chair from buy buy baby. It’s also sold on Amazon, it reclines and glides which I really liked plus my husband is 6’2 and can lay/sit in this comfortably (that was the main reason we went with a bigger chair than most)

Omg 😍 I’m in love!! My boy is 4 months and I still haven’t sorted his nursery! 🙈 HELP!!

Yes- rotation with limited toys is awesome advice. Keep it coming ladies! I feel clueless as well with how to organize for quick and easy to find storage. Specifically for clothing / accessories.

Aw. This is so cute.

too cute! love the accent wall👍🏼

Aw wow looks fab! I received a big soft basket as a gift from my first years - super handy to just quickly Chuck toys into when you’re in a hurry or have your hands full and keeps the room super tidy!

Would anyone know where to get these name stickers/ De cals in Sydney? I need one for my bub daughter

I’d try Etsy! They tend to ship anywhere in the world and that’s where I found his wooden name sign

My sons name is the exact same 😍😍 one T and two LLs and all

Soo cute! We want to an accent wall too!! Where is crib and mattress from?

Way fair! All of the furniture is from there except the glider/chair and storage shelf

Omg I love the giant giraffe!!!!!!!😍🦒

That is so beautiful!

Amazing!! Great job mama

This looks amazing! I find it’s not to hard to clean up after your child plays, clean as you go, teaching them to put there toys away and talking to them about what everything is is good for them also. My daughter is 2 and she sometimes packs up independently now, it’s still relatively easy to tidy up after her and reset everything.

My kiddo didn't really make a mess until he was mobile lol. Hes almost 2 and my house is a tornadoe until he goes to bed. I love a clean house so its hard, but there's really nothing you can do to stop them for making a mess

So pretty 😍 💗

Just take a few minutes daily to put things back in their place. I try to do it as I go and if by bedtime there are still things out of place e I’ll put them away.

This is so beautiful 💚

I love it! Where are the cribs sheets from?

So beautiful 🤩 Enjoy the baby stage where you can control a lot. I am a clean freak as well especially about my floors. That is one thing I’ve tried to prioritize and clean a few times a week. I would just prioritize the important things to you.

absolutely love it!

Beautiful!!!

Omg love it!

love it.
