How did you find out you were pregnant?

I was having fertility treatments as my husband and I were having a hard time conceiving. My doctor made me come in two weeks after my procedure for bloodwork. When they called me with the results, I was at work and I started crying because I was so overjoyed and I literally didn’t think I was ever going to get pregnant. One of my co-workers came running into my office all panicked because she heard me crying and thought I was hurt or something and I had to swear her to secrecy about my good news since I was only 4 weeks along :)

I had a bagel, Taylor ham egg and cheese and then I had an ice cream right after. I was fine for about 4 min and immediately threw up. I thought it was the mixture but I drank some water, tested and it came back positive. My son is 5.5 months old now lol

Well I let it slip up to him that I was late on my period. I wasn’t worried or thinking anything of it. He pushed me to get tested and I bought two tests the next morning. Before I was even able to get the top on the test and let it sit for two minutes, I saw two VERY bold lines. I was shook. Cried a few minutes from shock and happiness, and the rest is history. I started my journey on becoming a mother to my beautiful baby girl.

I was tryna get comfy up in my bed but it was like my boobs were too big, i cpuldnt get comfy cos they were in my way lol. Then i had a dream about being pregnant, and a posi test the next day!

It all started with the worst breast pain I’d ever experienced something in my head was telling me I was pregnant but I ignored it for a couple of months then one day my husband had made some poached eggs and it was game over for me I was so horrendously sick and pretty much didn’t stop my entire pregnancy lol. I couldn’t get a pregnancy test anywhere due to the first lockdown so had to order tests online. I went with two first response tests and was convinced they were prank ones... 4 pregnancy tests and and one internal ultrasound later I was still on the fence 😂 xx

I have PCOS so my period is always in different time. Usually before my period my bobs sore a bit and I didn’t think too much of it, but when I still haven’t had my period after weeks and my boobs were still painful I’ve decided to do a test what was positive.
I had a miscarriage in January and we weren’t planning to try another one yet, but she’s a little miracle and I can’t wait to have her in May ❤️

Me and my fiance weren't officially trying, I started drinking mineral water with lemon, hot sauce and chili powder for 3 weeks straight. Even my fiance pointed out that I was obsessed with that drink. The next morning I realized I hated the taste of my usual morning coffee, I thought all that was so weird, so I went to the store, got a pack of pregnancy tests and BAM it was positive within a few seconds. I started crying bc we had just gotten engaged and hadn't even planned a wedding. Anyway, we are skipping a wedding and just focusing on baby. I don't like parties anyway!

We just moved into our apartment, thr day after I think to myself "no way im pregnant after all the heavy lifting and stress!" Took a test on a whim at 11dpo, almost tossed it before looking at it but im glad I didnt because it was positive!

I was on vacation and a few days in a row I was really nauseous in the afternoons and my boobs were so sore! I got home from vacation and took a test that same day because my husband was admit I was pregnant, and he was right! I hadn't even missed my period yet, couldn't believe I was having such intense symptoms already.

We had been trying for a while and I had a Drs appt on Thurs for some X-rays on an old jaw injury that had been bothering me. I went in and they did a pregnancy test before the X-ray because we were actively trying to get pregnant. It was negative. Flash forward to Sunday, I had gone to Target and they were having a sale on their off brand pregnancy tests. The box ripped open as I was on my home. I thought what the hell because I still hadn’t gotten my period. At 5:15, I got a big fat positive. I called my older sister and she said that it was okay and she reminded me that I had a feeling that I was already pregnant. My husband didn’t believe it so in the morning I took a second test and that was positive. For good measure, I walked up to CVS and bought two more boxes of pregnancy tests (different brands) and the Clear Blue test clearly showed PREGNANT... At that point I told him that we can’t deny it, the pregnancy test at the office must have been wrong!

We had been trying and I was also experiencing periode like pain during my ovulation. Made an appointment with gyno. They gave me appointment for after a month. We go in, nurse took my urine sample. We were waiting for doctor, my husband sees the nurse smiling looking at us. Doctor comes in and says congratulations. We were expecting.

Omg my booobsss looked big and were kind of painful, couldn’t even stand wearing bras at the time, thought something ain’t right so I tested and was positive 🤷🏻‍♀️❤️

I didn’t have periods for 9 months... so lack of periods wasn’t an indicator but I got really drunk one night and the next day I just didn’t feel right, not just your run of the mill hangover, then I realised the week leading up to that, I was really fatigued and had a weird thing for strawberries (I haven’t been able to eat them since!) I kinda just took a test for reassurance because I was having investigations about the lack of periods and wondered whether those symptoms were something I should mention, had a really faint positive... turned out to only be two weeks after conception

Pretty simple. On March 1, 2018 on the morning my period was supposed to show up I took a test. I was so happy and in shock even though we were trying. I woke my husband up to show him. For my 2nd, my husband and I and our little one were eating some Chinese food at the grocery store we were at. (Baby was not eating Chinese ha) I felt a little funny after eating it. When we got home that afternoon I took a test. 1 of many in that week and a half. On March 23, 2019 a day before my birthday we found out we were expecting again. I was 16DPO I’m hoping this March brings good luck and another pregnancy. I had no symptoms with either pregnancy.

I got back from a camping trip with my partner and was down for about a week straight, tired, feeling sick and could barely get out of bed or eat. Thought my body was just being weird after being in a car for a week. He told me I should take a test, I laughed at him cause he was told he he probably couldn't have kids naturally and I have pcos but I took the test anyway. I was 7 weeks pregnant, thought I was just putting on weight but it was just pregnancy bloat.

I was on the pill so didn’t really have periods, the odd one would come every few months or even longer! Then I had a period within 3 weeks I had sore boobs and just thought ah maybe it’s another period turns out I was pregnant 🙈😂 was a shock but we’re both so happy and can’t wait to meet her now!!

I was 6 weeks late on my period but my periods used to be 2/3/4 weeks late normally and then it got later and later and on my 16th birthday I took a test and it was positive now I have my bundle of joy💕

Missed a period. Took a pee test and it was negative. Took a blood test and it was negative. About a month later I felt like I was going to puke all day. Took another pee test and it was positive. So didn’t know I was pregnant until like 2 months in

I knew from the moment we conceived 😂 It was New Year’s Eve night going into New Year’s Day and I told my boyfriend we needed to be careful bc I was ovulating on that day. We were in a nice hotel with a couple of drinks in us and we were NOT careful. As soon as it happened I was thinking “I’m pregnant.” For the next 2 weeks I was taking tests that kept coming up negative but then I finally had enough hcg to show a positive test like a week before my period was due. Now I have my 5 month old🥰

I had come off the pill after taking it consistently for 8+ years, had my period then a two week break before a second period. Then nothing came after that, I thought it was going to take a while before my cycle settled into its 28 day routine...6 weeks later no period, partner suggests a test. It’s positive! Ultrasound shows 6w6d measurement.
Then comes 12 weeks straight of severe morning sickness. Baby boy is measuring ahead and healthy 💙

I went to hospital as I had really bad stomach pains, thought it was my ulcerative colitis. They ended up giving me a pregnancy test as I have pcos and don’t take the pill, and was 5 weeks pregnant.

kind of similar story! i had a terrible fever for about 3 days right before christmas so i went to the er to get covid tested because i still wanted to see my fam on xmas... they did a urine test because they thought it may be a uti and came back and said "well no covid but youre pregnant!!" i went to my first ob appointment and they said i was 24 weeks with a boy!! my jaw dropped i was literally like how is it possible i just didnt know???? glad to know im not the only one thats found out late!

I went to the hospital with a sharp pain on the side. Thought it was appendicitis, one sonogram later they told me I had a 3 month baby girl... Yes still had my period every month, didn't even looked pregnant. Took my mother in law and a few friends to get my now husband out of the shock

I missed my period, and I was having a lot of weird cramps that weren’t typical PMS, like cluster cramps. When my boobs got really swollen and my nipples hurt, I was like okay. I must be pregnant. I took a test at about 10 days after my missed period and it was positive. Went in to see the doc next day.

I had been on BC forever up until about 4 months prior and had been TTC. It was still shocking when it happened.

i woke up one morning randomly even before my period was due and i was like i’m pregnant. i took a clearblue with the weeks prediction later that day and it said 1-2 weeks. i still to this day do not know how i knew because i had no symptoms whatsoever

I had been feeling really dizzy and light headed for a good week or so but just thought it was my low iron acting up a few more weeks go by and I start getting nauseous and my sense of smell was crazy high.

I had been battling hardcore with indigestion and heartburn all through February, which is irregular for me, and I was talking to my long distance boyfriend I had visited 2 weeks earlier, and he jokingly said what if the pill didn't work and you're pregnant? I immediately took a test bc I was still on the pill and scared if I was it would hurt the baby. Lo and behold a dark pink line, too dark to be 2 weeks. Turns out I got pregnant on my 18th birthday in january when I hooked up with my ex so I wouldn't be alone (I was single at the time, me &by were on and off a lot, I have bpd so I broke up w him alot) 😅 ex was told he could never have kids. He proved the Dr wrong when he had 2 within 4 months w different women.

I didn't think I could get pregnant after trying in the past. Actually spent a month very depressed when I turned 30 when I made the decision to not have kids because I have fibro, a bad disc in my back, and degenerative joints everywhere. Now 5 years later living in a van traveling the country came out of a walmart with a stick I'd peed on only to prove to my bf that I wasn't pregnant because he kept talking about my boobs being so big, threw it at him and cried while telling him I hoped it was defective. 🤦‍♀️ lol... life changes, this is a big one.

We'd just had a miscarriage and were discussing 'what next? plans'. I had medical issues making pregnancy nearly impossible for 20 years, so we decided to not unintentionally risk relationship with pressures of trying, but embrace if it happened by chance. We fell 3mths after miscarriage. I thought I was late, so I tested & got a weak + (it was only 3-4 wks). Did 4 more different tests over 2 days to ensure +, before blood confirmed. Currently at 23 weeks & counting down to meet Junior.... :)

I had felt off and weird for a few days maybe a week. Not feeling sick or tired or anything but just weird. Finally the night before I took a test I had fallen asleep on the floor at 7pm and I realized I should probably take a test😅 next morning I went and took 3 tests and called my husband as he was driving out of state to tell him we were pregnant again😅

I swear to god that everyone put a jinx on me, so many people kept saying your going to be pregnant soon, or my friend had a baby and everyone went your next. I was at my mums one day at the start of the first lockdown and my neighbour said ‘what you doing here you better not be here to tell us your pregnant’ but I had already thought I was because my boobs were really big, I was too scared to take a text waited a month and took one and yep I was 5 weeks pregnant

My boyfriend realized it before I did. I started waking up every morning complaining that I didn't feel good. I didn't even put the two together. He came home with a pregnancy test one day, I took it, and started crying instantly and he hugged me. Haha. It was a I-can't-believe-it but happy moment.

I had a dream I was pregnant, and I had nausea when I woke up. I was going drinking later, so I picked up a test. Needless to say I didn’t go drinking that day 😂

Im really bad at keeping track of my period so one day I was like oh shiz when did I have my last period and for some reason assumed I was late so to prove to myself I wasnt preganant I bough a pregnancy test. I took it the next day and it came up positive literally right after I peed on it so I was like it has to be defective so I took the other one in the package which also came up positive before even a couple minutes passed so I was like theyre broken. I ended up taking 3 more over the next few days and then going to the doctor to confirm. Ended up having 6 in total lol talk about denial. Im really happy though even if I'm doing this alone my baby is my while world and I cant wait to meet her 🥰

My husband’s grandpa passed away on a Thursday. The next day we went to his farm and spent time with his family. That night after we got home, my husband said to me “if we aren’t pregnant by the end of the year, this is the worse f’n year ever.” It dawned on me, I was late on my period after he said that. I didn’t say anything to my husband. The next morning I took a pregnancy test. It was positive. I squealed and cried happy tears in the bathroom. I didn’t know whether to wake my husband up or not. I tried to quietly sneak around our bedroom to grab a gift I hid and put a pregnancy shirt I bought on. I went out to the living room and set up a small gift I bought. My husband didn’t notice the gift or my shirt at first 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. I had to kind of emphasize my shirt for awhile for him to see it. It was an emotionally exciting time for us. Definitely felt like a miracle. My mom told us she knew we were expecting because she believes when a loved one passes away, a new life is born

I woke up the morning before my period was due with a raging migraine and an aura - I’d never had one before. I just knew I was pregnant and a test confirmed it!

5 months! Didn’t you wonder why you missed 5 periods?

I had my Medusa pierced for years and it’s never been infected and all of a sudden I woke up one day and it was so swollen and painful. I looked it up and one thread said pregnancy can effect your piercings. So random! So I took a test and I was pregnant. Had to take it out unfortunately 😭

It was month 4 of trying but we didnt track anything that month because i decided i was going to try to lose some weight and if i got pregnant while trying but not tracking it would be great! I was supposed to get my period that day but didnt get it so that night i was feeling a little nauseous and really tired and thought eh ill take a test its going to be negative anyways, we didnt track anything and only tried once that cycle, i peed in a cup and tested but ignored the test while i finished up because i was so sure it was going to be negative lol i washed my hands and looked down at the test and saw a second line and i was so shocked that i almost passed out in the bathroom 😂 im now 26w 4d with a baby girl 💜

My husband and I were already married for a year, and we're still working on a cruise ship.
I was already on a ship and he joined a months later full prepared with a box full of ovulation and pregnancy test plus vitamins of all kinds.
As per his study's, a normal healthy couple get pregnant after 2-3 years of trying.
So we did her intercourse for 3 days in a row, and that was it. We have opposite schedule ( I work all day, and he works at night), and it's really hard to even see each other .
I did a test after 5 days and again after 10 days, and both came negative.
However I was soo constipated, to the point that I couldn't p...p for a 7 days.
I seek the help from my nurse friend who gave me magnesium which supposed to help.
Unfortunately it was even worse. I couldn't eat anything, and the food smelled horrible 😆
I spoke with my husband and told him that I'm going in the medical in the morning to ask for the strongest pill or anything just to make me go to bathroom.

That night I dream I was pregnant, so in the morning I decided to do the test again
On my surprise it came positive!!
I was shocked and specially my husband.
He pushed me to do 2 more the next 2 days to make sure 😁

My husband had a dream of kissing a baby.

We had been trying to convince and I felt different I had missed my period and took a test

To my surprise ❤️ the faint line appeared so faint but so beautiful 🥰

I did IVF with my first so I found out that way but with my 2nd I was totally surprised. We were going to do ivf again because we’d been trying for almost 2 years after having our daughter without success. One night after I was going to have a glass of wine but I just had this weird feeling, like a 6th sense or something and I thought I better not have wine tonight. I put my daughter in the car and drove to the store to buy a few pregnancy tests. I took one when I got home and it was positive, I was shocked. I took another one...positive. Then the next morning I took the 3rd one...positive. I showed my husband when he got home from work the next morning. We were so excited but totally shocked to say the least.

I literally was just walking by the test at the store and thought why not, fully expecting it to be negative and nope, bright positive right away 😂
