C-section pain

I had an C-section almost 3 weeks ago but my lower stomach (the wobbly mum-tum bit) is so painful. It hurts to touch it/ run my hand over my belly. When I walk or move, it obviously wobbles and this causes discomfort. I’ve got my high waisted underwear on but have to wear extra over the top to prevent the wobble. F...

Waters breaking…

I’ve never experienced spontaneous labour so I’m curious. For those of you who have had their waters break before contractions started, how did it happen? Currently this is a bit of a fear of mine. Are they going to randomly go in line at the supermarket? Or could they just go at night while I’m sleeping?…

Elective c-section

I am due to see a consultant on Tuesday regarding an elective c-section, however, I have been told by a friend that she's been told she can only have one after 40 weeks because they have a back log. I suffer quite badly with my mental health, I have Generalised Anxiety Disorder which is triggered by uncertainty, an...

Breech baby 36+2

Hey all, I recently visited the MAU for reduced movements and during a growth scan they told me that the baby is in breech and that my best option is likely a c-section. Honestly, this just scares me so I was wondering if anyone was willing to talk through their experience (waiting it out, turning the baby, c-sectio...

Currently in early labour! 40+ 2

Has anyone had their waters break spontaneously and gone into full labour / given birth not long after? If so, how long after? I’ve been waiting for a natural birth/ no inductions or sweeps. I woke up this morning at 9.45am to my waters breaking 🙏🏻😀& they haven’t stopped going for the last 4 hours (nobody tells…

I've got mild GD and due for an induction at 40+6.

I'm currently 40+1 and hoping a combination of lots of walking, sex, yoga ball, rasberry leaf tea will do the trick with getting me into labor... Trying to avoid the induction basically as I don't think I'm high risk and wanting a natural labor. I've heard induction can really last for ages and be quite painful ...

Elective c-section?

Hi girls, I think I’m going to opt for a c-section with my 2nd baby. (Had emergency section with my 1st) Just wondering for anyone that’s had one how it works? When do you find out your date of surgery? Do you choose the day or just get given one? Is it before/on/after your due date? What happens on the day? ...

Good or bad?

I’m 33 weeks preggo. My first was c section and it was a breeze-no complications during or after. I’m supposed to try for VBAC. I’m terrified. For those that had vaginal birth, do you think I’m overthinking it or is it as bad as all the IG reels makes it sound? Selecting negative meaning-tears, trauma, so painful yo...

Advice

Hi, Was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to request a c-section or do I just get told whether I will have one or not. Also what has everyone’s experience been with both vaginal delivery and c-section? I am coming to the end of my pregnancy and im getting nervous! Thanks xx

Gestational hypertension/inductions vs c section

I'm 36 weeks today and have had borderline hypertension for a couple of weeks. Docs have offered me Labetalol but also been wary of putting me on it incase it makes my BP too low as my readings vary from late 140s to mid 120s! Bottom number is rarely above 90. So haven't opted for meds up to this point to avoid the ...
