Currently in early labour! 40+ 2

Has anyone had their waters break spontaneously and gone into full labour / given birth not long after? If so, how long after? I’ve been waiting for a natural birth/ no inductions or sweeps. I woke up this morning at 9.45am to my waters breaking 🙏🏻😀& they haven’t stopped going for the last 4 hours (nobody tells…

I've got mild GD and due for an induction at 40+6.

I'm currently 40+1 and hoping a combination of lots of walking, sex, yoga ball, rasberry leaf tea will do the trick with getting me into labor... Trying to avoid the induction basically as I don't think I'm high risk and wanting a natural labor. I've heard induction can really last for ages and be quite painful ...

Elective c-section?

Hi girls, I think I’m going to opt for a c-section with my 2nd baby. (Had emergency section with my 1st) Just wondering for anyone that’s had one how it works? When do you find out your date of surgery? Do you choose the day or just get given one? Is it before/on/after your due date? What happens on the day? ...

Good or bad?

I’m 33 weeks preggo. My first was c section and it was a breeze-no complications during or after. I’m supposed to try for VBAC. I’m terrified. For those that had vaginal birth, do you think I’m overthinking it or is it as bad as all the IG reels makes it sound? Selecting negative meaning-tears, trauma, so painful yo...

Advice

Hi, Was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to request a c-section or do I just get told whether I will have one or not. Also what has everyone’s experience been with both vaginal delivery and c-section? I am coming to the end of my pregnancy and im getting nervous! Thanks xx

Gestational hypertension/inductions vs c section

I'm 36 weeks today and have had borderline hypertension for a couple of weeks. Docs have offered me Labetalol but also been wary of putting me on it incase it makes my BP too low as my readings vary from late 140s to mid 120s! Bottom number is rarely above 90. So haven't opted for meds up to this point to avoid the ...

Induction at 39 weeks

I’ve been told I’ll be getting induced at 39 weeks. Does anybody have any experience on roughly when I will get a specific date? I know they ring on the day for a time and it may or may not happen on said date. But just wondering when I’ll be given a rough idea!

Active labour

Started getting contractions at 9:30pm last night 3/4 minutes apart, went to triage who confirmed I was in active labour. They didn’t check how dilated I was at the time and they gave me the option to stay / go home so we came home to get some rest and come back one I am suffering with the contractions. Still having...

Numerous signs of labour?

I was induced with my first baby so I feel a bit like a new parent this time around. I’ve been losing my mucus plug over the past 24 hours with a bit of a bloody show. Quite a bit of back ache and every few hours numerous tightenings. I’m 39+3 so know labour could happen any time but just wondering if this is signs...

Waters breaking finally after spicy tea!

It may have been a coincidence, but being 40+2, I braved a vindaloo for tea last night, and at 11pm my waters broke finally! But still no contractions, she's being so stubborn and making us wait a bit more x

C section needles

Wondering what needles are involved in a c section, do you have a cannula in your hand throughout? Cannula in arm? I want to be fully prepared in what to expect.

Anyone else feeling huge? 😭 (33 weeks)

This is my second baby, and ever since about 28 weeks, people have been asking if it's twins, if there's extra fluid, and if I'm *sure* about my due date (which I am absolutely sure.) She is measuring in the 85th percentile whereas my first was in the 30th, and it's a "close interval" pregnancy (we'll have 2 under 2...

C-section incision bleeding

Hello! I am 5wks pp, I had a relatively easy recovery, my son was a month early and had a nicu stay which forced me to be active, I healed well, my two week check up went great. Now I’m 5wks and have been pretty active, cleaning house, carrying the car seat, etc. and my incision started oozing in one spot a few days...

Tubes

My baby boy is getting tubes put in on Wednesday. What should we expect coming out of anesthesia and the day after? I know this isn’t a major surgery but it’s my babies first surgery which makes it a big deal to me. Please help put my mind at ease.
