Baby movement

Is It Just Me?

Is it just me, or are babies these days developing in their own completely unique way and fast!!

My little one is 6 months now, and honestly it feels like every week brings something new.

Sitting up started around 4–5 months, even though tummy time has never been the favourite activity. Rolling is no problem, but the real interest now is in attempting to shuffle around and explore Standing with support has become a whole new hobby β€” anything sturdy enough becomes a piece of β€œfurniture gym equipment.” Weaning began at 4 months, and by 5 months there was already interest in snacks labelled for 7 months and up. And despite all the movement and curiosity, sleeping in their own crib has been completely fine too.

It’s fascinating watching how different babies grow at their own pace β€” some rush ahead in certain areas, some take their time, and all of it is perfectly normal. They really do come with their own little blueprint.

My LO definitely needs to slow down πŸ€£πŸ˜…

Baby sleep

6 months…

Hi mamas, just looking for a bit of advice as my LO has just turned 6 months. She can’t sit upright just yet, she doesn’t roll over, I haven’t started weaning her, she still sleeps in our room and she’s still in the baby basinet of her pram. I feel like we are way behind and I’m starting to get a bit worried! She still wakes up at night so rather than going back and forth, I figured it would be easier to keep her in our room, she still fits in the baby basinet so as I’m out and about a lot, it’s a lot easier for her to nap lying down (current pram does not recline 100% for the 6 month and above insert). Anyone else in the same boat??

6 MO contact napping

Has anyone experienced a regression in naps? More specifically not being able to be put down?

I never had an issue with my daughter contacting napping, I’d always be able to put her down (she still needs rocking to sleep) but for the past week or so she will wake EVERYTIME you try and lay her down.

I’ve changed nothing at all in terms of her routine so am at a loss?!

Should I be worried about development?

Don't know if I should be concerned about development or not? My LO has just turned 6 months and she doesn't roll over. She has rolled tummy to back a total of 3 times since 4 months and occasionally pushes and twists when on her back but never gets onto her side or rolls. She can sit independently, stand holding onto things, and stay on her hands and knees when she's helped into position (she's actively trying to get there) but she can't transition to these by herself. Like, she can't get into a sitting position, or onto her hands and knees from her tummy without help, and she pulls to stand but needs some help.

Should I be worried about not being able to roll or transition yet or does this come later?
