Activities for kids
I felt so isolated in the early days of motherhood so I wanted to start a little walking group where mamas in the Cary/Morrisville/ Raleigh area can plan walks in parks, trips to museums etc to help them get out and maybe feel a little better in the process.
I’m not sure if this is already a thing, but I couldn’t find any when I searched but feel free to lmk if I’m stepping on any toes by sharing it here!
I’ll share the link if I’m able /there is any interest 💜

Postpartum mental health
I’m a first time mom who gave birth 5 days ago (vaginal, second degree tears) and today was a bit of a reality check for me…
I have been feeling really good the last two days and thought I was up to doing some light housework and being able to go up and down the stairs a few times a day, but today I had a clot scare (smaller than a golf ball but big enough to freak me out) and now I’m not sure what is and isn’t ok anymore. My impression from the doctor at discharge made me feel like I would be ok to do semi normal activities (I may have misunderstood her), and I’ve felt pretty full of energy and little to no pain.
I’m a pretty independent person, so even though my husband is super supportive and willing to help with anything I need, I don’t like just resting and want to be doing more.
How long after giving birth were you doing more normal activities?
