Nicu moms

Hey all! I became a NICU mom a month ago to my son Max, who was born at 28 weeks 3 days. He was born at 760grams. Now, he’s nearly double his birth weight and doing so well. He’s on Sync B with his feeding, and on CPAP plus 5. I’m so hoping he’ll be home in another month but we just have to get his breathing more regular. It’s been an incredibly difficult month but seeing how big he’s getting makes it all so worth it. Glad to be able to connect with other moms who know the heartache and stress of the NICU.

Born at 33 weeks after 3 days of doctors trying to stop contractions and finally water breaking. My son has had reflux issues and stomach issues and constantly crying and whinging. Its very stressful because i just dont know why hes just so miserable. Anyone have a similar story? He was born on valentine's day by emergency c section and the whole birth experience was traumatizing to me...he stayed in the nicu 13 days with feeding and temperature issues.. just hoping to move on

My little bean spent the first two weeks of her life in the hospital. She had a severe case of jaundice and had issues regulating her temperature. Luckily she's 8 weeks now and doing amazingly! Still scary being a new mom.

Hi all my baby was born 5 weeks early. She is now 17 days old and is still in the nicu with a mrsa staph infection and swollen cheek that’s filled with fluid and she will need surgery. She already went under anesthesia to have surgery to have it drained once and may have to do that again but she will also need a big surgery to remove the cyst.
