German mums in London

Hi everyone

I’m Michelle and I live in Stratford with my German partner and our Aussie–German baby girl, who’s around three months old. I’ve been looking for local baby groups in East London but so far have only found activities for toddlers (2+).

I’d really love for my daughter to have more exposure to German language from an early age. Ideally something like a sing-and-sign style class where the instructor leads in German — nursery rhymes, songs, stories, that kind of thing.

If anyone knows of anything like this for babies in the area, I’d be so grateful for recommendations. And if there isn’t much around, I’d be happy to explore starting something in East Village if there are a few other families interested.

Hey there, did you come across any German kids events in London? Such as at Goethe institute? Would be interested to meet on a regular basis to expose my 2,5 year old one to more German kids (I am German myself).

Hello! My name is Kate, I am English and married to an Austrian. My son Ferdinand is two and we are planning on sending him to the German School in Richmond. Is there anyone else here thinking about doing the same or are there any parents out there in west London who would like to meet up for a play date?

Just wondered if anyone lives around London/Surrey here? I have a 3 year old & 1 year old 🙂
