Hi everyone
I’m Michelle and I live in Stratford with my German partner and our Aussie–German baby girl, who’s around three months old. I’ve been looking for local baby groups in East London but so far have only found activities for toddlers (2+).
I’d really love for my daughter to have more exposure to German language from an early age. Ideally something like a sing-and-sign style class where the instructor leads in German — nursery rhymes, songs, stories, that kind of thing.
If anyone knows of anything like this for babies in the area, I’d be so grateful for recommendations. And if there isn’t much around, I’d be happy to explore starting something in East Village if there are a few other families interested.
Thanks so much!

Maybe we should start one. Most of them are so far from central London. I could go somewhere near the central line. I'm finally at that point to travel now he's 2 😅
If it makes you feel any better your ambition is very impressive. Most mums don't make it out of the house on time to any playgroup whatsoever before 5 or 6 months pp. I made it to a couple around 2 and 3 months but couldn't commit until 6 months and I could only go to one in walking distance
They won't usually say their first word until at least 10 months, some children more like 18 months. My sons first word was Nein at 10 months and he took ages to get to 5 words at 14 months but suddenly at 17mo he was saying over 50 words and from then over 100 per month. He speaks loads of German as loves time with daddy and I speak English to him but I repeat a lot of what I say in German to reinforce it.
