Ask a Birth and Postpartum Doula

Hello! I am 10 weeks postpartum and wanted to get into weight lifting before I found out I was pregnant. I feel ready to hit the gym, but I’m wondering how I should pace myself when it comes to weight lifting? What should I start out at? (I could lift almost 200 pounds before I got pregnant with some ease) My OB restricted me to 50 pounds in my third trimester, so I’m wondering if I should start out with 50 pounds or if I’m safe to go straight for 100 to start?

I’m 8 days postpartum and had a second degree tear after delivery. When would I be able to do some light exercise (walking and stretching) and drive?

Hey I’m 4week pp and beginning to excessively bleed… is this my period? I am normally not this heavy, and the bleeding began about a week ago before then I was not bleeding. I feel OK no headaches no dizziness just concerned of how much blood my pee isn’t even yellow. It’s just blood.

3weeks PP and I’m now bleeding from my butt and it hurts to poop. Also experiencing vaginal pain all over again. Is this normal? Vaginal&Bleeding completely stopped but I’m curious if it is normal to come back and now bleeding from my anal area?

Sorry this is gross so if you are not wanting to see keep scrolling. Im one month postpartum and was wondering if this is normal. My discharge has turned yellow and i feel like it has a sour cream smell? After the first two weeks i really didnt have much bleeding. We have done “outercourse” along the way. just wanted to make sure it didnt look like an infection of some kind. Thanks! Also i had a second degree tear and peri urethra tear with skid marks.
