Dairy and soy free EBF but still has bad reflux

My EBF 8 week old still have pretty bad reflux even though we took dairy and soy out of my diet 6 weeks ago. Taking those out made a big difference to the crying but could it be something else too like wheat or acidic foods? Has anyone found that to be the case for them?

His spit up is worse when I breast feed compared to bottle feed him expressed milk so I know my flow is too fast too and he gulps more air on the breast. I’ve had to focus more on bottles as a result but it’s still pretty bad as he’s always congested and coughing after feeds. Anyone else been through this ? :(

Is this an allergy/cmpa?

Hello! My 3 month old has been having really horrible brown mucus nappies for 2 weeks now, I will post a pic in comments. Hes also going multiple times a day when he used to be once a day. He is formula fed on Hipp Organic. He also has had reflux since birth, trouble/pain passing wind and congested. No rashes. Until the recent bad nappies I didn't consider CMPA. The doctor has tested the stool and it's not a virus. I guess my question is has anyone experienced these kids of nappies and do you think he needs to change milk? Thank you xxx

Potential cows milk allergy?!

My LB IS 3 weeks old tomorrow and has been what we thought struggling with wind over the past two weeks. The past week he’s begin to get more and more symptoms (will list below) and in so much pain especially at night.

Symptoms projectile vomit (this happened Saturday with a few spit ups before hand)

  • 5-7 bad nappies a day yellow/green mucus type poo
  • seems extremely uncomfortable, pulling legs up to stomach, screaming in pain, arching back
  • lots of sneezing and coughing
  • watery eyes, then leads to green gunk
  • lots (and lots) of farting -will almost always have hiccups after a feed
  • fussiness when on the bottle
  • will cry after feed and we struggle to wind ( won’t sit still, arching back etc

On Saturday morning we rang 111 and they asked to go to local community hospital, the dr said he has reflux and has given us a food plan 1oz every 2hrs. We followed this throughout the day but by 11pm that night he seemed worse. So we took him to an and e at 2am. We seen two different drs which they said he seems to have colic as well as reflux. They then said we should do 2oz every 3hs. It’s been 24hrs and he does seem a little more settled however still showing symptoms above he then went 5hrs asleep where I had to wake him for a feed, soon after he had an explosive nappy (pictured) this was 37hrs after his diarrhoea nappies.

I have messaged my health visitor she’s going to ring me back first thing and I’m going to also ring the dr in the morning I just wanted to see if anyone else has been through this and it was just colic and reflux or if my feeling is right and there’s more too it and he has a milk allergy or something else.
