Fertility treatments over 35

Although there’s many groups for IVF/IUI advice and TTC, there’s a big number of women who are over 35 and require different treatment/pathways than others. This is a place for you to connect and share experiences that aren’t necessarily right for a 20 year old going through fertility treatments. Share, connect, advise, but most of all, find women who know what you’re going through.

Pregnancy Week by Week: Second Trimester

PGT-A Testing

I recently had my first retrieval and we got 13 eggs. Only 3 made it to the expanded blastocyst stage and today they will be biopsies and sent out for PGT-A testing. I am so nervous and anxious because I keep reading that only 10-30% at my age (43) will pass as normal. Hoping to hear some success stories! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

IVF Package Options

Ladies, I need advice!! 🙏🏻 We plan to start IVF in October. I have to decide whether to commit to a single cycle package ($9000) or 3 cycle package ($22,000). Since I’m 43, my doctor suspects I will need three cycles/retrievals in order to have a decent chance.

If I purchase the 3 cycle package, I would save a total of $5000 versus buying 3 individual cycles as I go. ($27,000 vs $22.000) My insurance does not cover IVF so I really need to think this though!

My concern is, what if we commit to the 3 cycles, but learn that my eggs are not good and that we will need to consider a donor egg? That would mean we’re out all the money spent on the 3 cycles and wed have to start from square one with a donor?

There are so many major decisions I need to make within the next few weeks and it’s really stressing me out! What would you do if you were in my shoes?

Drink recommendations

Navigating Holidays during TWW

Hello ladies. Looking for ideas. Our FET will likely be the 20th/21st of this month. Days before Christmas. Obviously we aren’t telling our entire family. My female cousins know our journey. How do you or did you navigate the not drinking alcohol part during gatherings?
Keep in mind, I’m the youngest girl, recently married, and already 35. So the questions of “so when will you have babies” will be a thing. I’m also the one that is expected to have a glass of wine in her hand. Any advice needed. I need some sort of trick rather than a story/excuse as to why I’m not drinking. They will see right through it. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞🏼🍍💙💖👶
