I am planning to divorce my husband

My marriage has been toxic already for a long time, that even my mother in law will message me because his 51yr old son is crying to her about our marriage. I am just an immigrant and able to get here in US because of my husband. Most people will think, I am a gold digger because I am just poor back in my country but ever since I moved here, I never ask anything from my husband. I have been working and contributing in the house and buy things for our son. Portion of my income goes to our joint account. I never been a financially burden to him. But whenever we have an argument he will always bring up where I came from. When I speak my mind about something or for our son, he will always make me feel I am wrong and he is right. We just live like roommates and there are times my son witnessed our fight and crying so bad. He is also a hoarder and our house looks like a storage room already.

I am just afraid that when I file a divorce, the court won't be on my side because I am earning less than my husband and I don't have a house or family here.

Honest feelings about life after divorce.

Can anyone give me some honest feedback about their life post divorce? I’ve been struggling for years in my marriage and the thing that holds me back from leaving is uprooting my child (number 1.) but also leaving my home, which I love. (But I’m not ignorant to the fact that I can’t afford this house on my own.) and knowing I will most likely be living in an apartment for the foreseeable future. And life right now is SO expensive. How does anyone afford to live on their own with children??

Maybe if I hear some positive things it will help with the reality… I guess that’s what I’m thinking…

Domestic abuse help

Hi, My husband is a narcissist. I have been in this marriage for 6 years. I had a baby; after the baby, I realized and started seeing his real face. When he pinched me in my sleep, I was exhausted up all night with night feeds. While leaving for work, he tried to kiss me; I didn't kiss him back. He felt rejected and said I am using him when I needed him and not giving him back. He then stared at my baby and me, and then he pinched me and left, shutting the door loudly. He knows that will wake up the baby, so he did it purposely!! My baby is 5 months now, but it's been a mentally and emotionally exhausting journey. I can't take this anymore. I am looking to leave him.

Can anyone please suggest a good family law solicitor in the Hertfordshire area? I am seeking help!!

Morning ladies!

How do you all deal with the negative stigma and feedback that comes from leaving bad relationships and marriages to protect your children?

While I consider myself a victor and not victim anymore, I am always being blackballed and shunned for the best decision of my life.

Please share your coping styles with me.
