TTC: Clomid Journey

Anyone with irregular cycles got pregnant in the first clomid cycle ?

I have just completed my first cycle of Clomid but have more questions than answers and are looking for support.

I feel like I was given the news I wasn’t ovulating and prescribed medication with little info!

I finished my 5th tablet on 25th August and have been getting what feels like menstrual cramps ever since, alongside tightening and pains in my stomach. I’m due on my period next Saturday (I have a 35-40 day cycle usually) and I am still experiencing these pains. I wouldn’t say they’re painful but they’re really uncomfortable. Estimated ovulation was 8 days ago so I didn’t think I’d still be experiencing cramps?

I’ve done a pregnancy test and it’s negative. Should I be experiencing pains even now?

My consultant has told me not to do any ovulation tests, instead I am going for a blood test on day 26 of my cycle for the next 3 months but I don’t have another appointment until November and I haven’t been offered any scans.

The anxiety of not knowing whether it’s working is really effecting me!!!

I’m finally getting with Clomid for the next 6 months but as I have very irregular cycles I was prescribed Provera to first trigger my periods that have made no appearance in the last 7 months since my last miscarriage.

Anyone who kickstarted the journey with Provera, have you had any period if you haven’t fallen pregnant after the first cycle or did you have to take Provera again every cycle?

I am on round 1 of clomid. Have been told that if clomid doesn’t work then IVF is my only option which ideally I don’t want to do. I was advised to BD every other day to ensure semen is concentrated enough and good motility. I BD on 9,10,12&14 and currently on day 15. Shall I continue to BD and test LH levels or is there no point? Got peak LH yesterday🤷🏽‍♀️
