Fitness through Pregnancy

Hi ladies, im currently in my 2nd trimester and found it so difficult transitioning from having full control of my body to non... plus the lack of energy (which is creeping back now)

Pre pregnancy i spent a lot of time working out, my partners a pro athlete, I own a Reformer Pilates studio in Nottingham and also teach yoga.

I am qualified in pre and post natal mat & reformer pilates and have started to put a course together. Would anyone be interested in learning how pilates & breath can help pre & post pregnancy in a safe way for you and baby... and maybe feel like you have worked your body also the next day??
(whilst also connecting, albeit via zoom for now, with local pregnant ladies - we could maybe even have a coffee and chat after...)

I have ran 3 marathons (I am NOT a runner btw!!) and with lockdown thought... maybe a run will be good but the BEST piece of advise I read which I would love to pass on... don't! Running is like a trampoline for baby to bounce on your pelvic floor...makes total sense! It's hard enough giving birth let alone creating our own incontinence problems.

This is my first pregnancy so each day I'm learning, but if you would like to give yourself a little self care and that boost to energy, let's chat and connect below πŸ§‘πŸ§‘πŸ§‘πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Runners! How long did you or have you been running through pregnancy?

Curious to learn more about everybody's journey. I'm almost 29 weeks and reluctantly decided a few days ago that the pressure I've been feeling in my pelvis is too much and I need to finally stop running. Of course I had slowed it down quite a bit and reduced my weekly mileage. Stopping altogether feels scary, but my hope is that this will mean a quicker postpartum recovery. What about you?

Pregnancy Week by Week: Second Trimester

Tips For Working Out in the 3rd Trimester

Hello everyone! I am currently 27 weeks pregnant! My due date is September 17th. This is my first pregnancy.

I haven't consistently worked out in a long time since highschool (I am now 22). I really regret not keeping up with it and would like to start now.

I'm not really worried about losing weight after giving birth. I'm more worried about being healthy and preparing my body to give birth. I'm not really sure how to approach it safely. I'm also anxious about accidentally causing early labor.

I'm not in budget to hire a trainer for help at this time.

Any tips or advice to help me get started? Most appreciated!!
