Activities for kids

Queens Park Pram Walk

I went to this today but I was the only mum. Just me, baby Oliver and a walk leader. Was not what I was hoping for as I thought it sounded a great way to chat to other new mums.

Felt sorry for the organisers and said I’d do my best to promote it. Adding here and also stopping anyone local with a pram to tell them about it.

Hope with some help on here we can get it going. Let me know if you fancy it. I’m going to go again next week x

Let’s meet/ pottery painting

Hi everyone! I’ve been a first-time mum for 8 months now and I’m ready to get out a bit more without my little one. If anyone’s interested, I’d love to organise a pottery painting outing so we can get to know each other — it’s indoors and nice and relaxed 😊 @modernmumdiaries on instagram ♥️

Antenatal Classes in Bolton

Hi! I’m at first time mum-to-be due May 2026, and am trying to decide which antenatal classes to go to.

Has anyone been to NCT classes in Bolton? If so, what did you think of them? I’ve heard really mixed reports!

I’ve also seen an independent company called Karma babies which looks nice, but small class sizes.

Some of my friends have been ‘Bump&Baby’ or ‘Happy Parents Happy Baby’ classes and rated them, but it doesn’t look like they have franchises in Bolton sadly.

Any advice on other mamas experience of local antenatal classes much appreciated!

(To complicate things, over the past couple of days I’ve found out that my partner is leaving me. He says he wants to be there for the baby, attend ante natal classes with me etc, but I’m not sure if that will be too emotional / confusing, so might have to go to them alone or with my mum.)
