Bassinet help?

I’ve been searching for a safe, reliable and affordable bassinet, and every time I think I’ve found the one, a big no way comes up! Safety is most important, but I also want to support my babies sleep. I’m a little unsure as to how babies habits for sleep change when they leave the womb, such as if your baby sleep when you do and is awake with movement, will they be the same in the outside world? Would really appreciate any advice or suggestions! I really want a bassinet where I can see baby from the bed such as mesh side panel, and a height that makes baby accessible easily, but open minded! Thanks ♥️

Help with feeding and sleeping 5 week old

Hi, looking for some tips/advice

FTM to a 5 week old girl who is EBF. Baby feeds really well and falls asleep to feeding, once she’s asleep though she will last about 10-15 min before waking herself up. When she does this she’s moving her arms and legs around I then pick her up to burp and we start the whole process again. She isn’t getting long sleep because of this and is making both of us very tired. At night we are getting about 2 hours sleep and that’s either on myself or my partner. We are trying to put her to sleep on her own but she prefers contact sleeping.

TIA

Baby milestones

Child makes eye contact but not all the time should I worry?

also when really close e.g. when she's being carried and we start trying to engage she looks everywhere else but the face of the person who is carrying and trying to engage with her should I been worried? Has anyone else experienced this with their little ones?

Baby sleep

Why is my 9 month old waking 6+ times a night?

My son is nearly 10 months old & his sleep has been awful since he was 3 months. From 3 months he hated being in his next to me cot & now hates being in his cot in his room. He wakes 6-8 times a night.

If I let him sleep in bed with me he’ll sleep for 4-5 hours at a time consistently, but the most he’s ever slept in his cot is 2hrs 30mins. A couple of months ago we started seeing a sleep expert & have been following her recommendations.

We’ve been doing the gradual retreat method of sleeping training but he’s still waking up multiple times a night. For reference, the least he’s woken up in his cot has been 5 times (this has only happened once), the most has been 8 times. Getting really fed up with there being no improvement.

His sleep schedule (given by consultant) 7:30am - wake up (although he always wakes before this) 10:30am - 45min nap (I have to wake him) 2:30pm - 1hr-1hr 45min (I have to wake him) 7:45pm - start bedtime routine 8:30pm - in cot asleep/start gradual retreat

His sleep space: Dark room ✔️ Warm enough ✔️ White noise all night ✔️

Any advice/ideas because I’m seriously fed up with no sleep now 🙈

Extra info, he is eating well & having enough milk during day, he normally has 1 bottle in the night but this is more for comfort than hunger I think.

EDIT : it was a sleep consultant that gave us the above sleep routine and told us how long to have him nap for - before this I was letting him nap for as long as he wanted

Baby development stages

Cluster Feeding

So, I am in new mom to an almost 6 week old little boy. And recently, during the day it seems like he wants to eat every 2 to 3 hours, whereas in the past, he would go much longer before needing another feeding. He also tends to sleep much longer during the night, which his father and I are extremely grateful for. Just out of curiosity, is this what they call the cluster feeding stage? I should also mention, that we have been bottle feeding him, even though I am still pumping my breast milk. Has anyone else had this sort of experience? I was wondering if cluster feeding is exclusive to breastfed babies, or is it just the general term for the phase of growth that they go through?
