Help!

My two year old keeps pooping during nap time and then doesn’t sleep, stays up hollering and then starts digging around and we go get her before she can make a mess. Only happens at home. She doesn’t poop at daycare, only feels comfortable at home I guess. We are introducing potty training and we take her to potty before and ask her if she needs to go but she doesn’t and then goes in her diaper as soon as we put her down.

naps

what time are your 2 year old waking up from their naps?

my son has been a nightmare to go to bed this last week, he wants us to sit in his room bedside his bed and rub his back and then when we get up leave once he’s asleep he stands and screams in his cot. i spend between 1 hour to 1.5 hours a night trying to get him to sleep.

he naps vary, something it’s 1:30-3pm, others it’s 2-3pm.

and then he goes to bed at 8pm

Drowsy but awake does NOT work with my baby

I did cry it out with my first son which I remembered sucked but eventually worked. My second is about to be 5 months and we are starting sleep training but he doesn’t cry when we put him down. Instead, he plays and babbles loudly, for HOURS. I rock him in my arms to the point where he is basically sleeping, arms limp and everything. But the second I put him down, he is wide eyed and smiling, back to kicking his feet, spits out pacifier, sucks on his hands, babble, babble, babble. The longer he goes, the louder he gets. I’ve tried gradual check ins, put pacifier back in, held his hands, shushing, anything and everything to avoid picking him back up, but he is relentless. I start to put him down by 930 and he doesn’t fall asleep until almost midnight, sometimes later. It’s absolutely exhausting. I don’t know how to sleep train this kid, and clearly whatever I did for my first is not working for my second. HELP.

Floor bed and sleep training

I have a 17 month old that is in a floor bed and has never slept through the night . I cuddle him to sleep and then he usually does from about 8pm-1am on his own and then wakes up and I go sleep with him in his bed and he wakes up many times in the night. I’ve started trying to sleep train him with no crying but my issue is he keeps getting out of his bed . If I sit on the floor next to him he just keeps trying to come to me. Is this something I just need to stick at and keep placing him back in bed or is there another method to do? At the moment I’m patting him and sitting on the floor next to him .

Baby sleep

8 months

I would love to know how best to tackle my LOs sleep. She currently naps 2-3 times a day and doesn’t sleep longer than 50 minutes at a time and for the most part it’s 30 mins unless I resettle her. I am currently rocking to sleep and then placing in cot. Overnight she sleeps in my arms as she will just not go down in her cot. If I place her in her cot awake she cries instantly. How can I help her to fall asleep independently?
