We've agreed on a name for our little girl, but I've noticed one thing. My hubby says I'm overthinking it. If the full initials spelt something strange, but short hand initials (just first and last) were just letters. Would this deter you from using the name?

My first’s nickname ends in Y. We mostly call her by this. I’d like the second to not sound too similar so trying to think of names/nicknames that end in different sounds. We don’t like anything too popular atm.

Which name is your favourite?

Struggling to choose between two names. Please vote on the below. I want a Scottish connection, but we have just moved from Scotland to England, so I'm concerned Murdo is just too 'strong' for a wee boy growing up in England. For context my first boy is Cormac Lars. Surname is 3 syllables.

My OH is set on the name Violet, as much as it is a pretty name I personally don't like it, every name I suggest he doesn't like as he's got his heart set on the name Violet🙈 please help me suggest some names similar to Violet (not Charlotte, Harriet, Scarlett, Hattie) TIA
