Mama’s who are also Dog/Cat Moms 🙋🏽‍♀️

Hey y’all! Wanted to start this group because I have 3 pups and a baby girl who get along great! Since so many of us also have pets to take care of, I figured why not start a group of those of us who are also Dog/Cat moms. Feel free to share tips, questions and adorable pictures of your pets and babies.

New kitten mom

My kitten is 6 weeks old I hosted a birthday party at home for my 6 year old so I kept my kitten in my room I was sure to check in on her frequently my oldest niece was in my room when my kitten woke up and found my mouse trap my niece brought her to my sister and my sister was able to pull her off I went in panic mode and googled what to do to get it off it said vegetable oil but I only had coconut oil but it still got it off because I had to soak her in the coconut oil and give her a bath afterwards I believe I traumatized my baby her coat even looks weird a vet isn’t a option because I’m out of funds until 28th what should I do because she peed on my floor this morning threw up last night but she threw up kibble but my niece didn’t know she couldn’t eat that yet why she peed on my floor idk when her litter box is next to her bed she always goes to the bathroom fine until now

Baby sleep

Co-sleeping with cats + baby

My two cats, Miah & Suzi co-sleep with us. If we lock the bedroom door they cry at the door. I’m wondering how to handle this when the baby comes. I am 34w4d expecting our first child. Our baby will sleep with us in a bassinet beside the bed. The bassinet I bought has a zipper net on top, so that the cats can’t get to baby. I specifically bought that one so that my super cuddly cats don’t sit on him. One of the cats is a fat cat who doesn’t realize she is fat 😅 I have the bassinet out for the cats to explore. I don’t know what is the best approach with sleeping situation. Do I ban the cats from our room for the first few months? Or do I use the net and allow the cats to continue sleeping with us? I do not feel comfortable having the bassinet open and the cats sleeping in the same room until the baby is a few months old.
What did you do?
