Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding and weaning ???

I have exclusively breastfed my baby since he was about 3 days old! And we are currently weaning, he’s started having 3 meals per day and I’m still breastfeeding on demand, some days he’s not super interested in the boob but other days he wants lots of boob along with his food! Just wondering how much people are breastfeeding along with meals ?? I know β€˜food before 1 is for fun’ so I’m still his main source but is there such thing as β€˜too much’??? First time mum so just wondering

Bottle feeding

Bottles Vs food

Has anyone else's little bub dropped a bottle yet?

My boy gets offered 3 meals a day and has gradually eaten more and more of what we offer. A few times last week we were out and about and he missed his mid morning bottle but honestly didn't seems to care in the slightest. So when we were then at home for a day, I waited to see if he got fussy for it and he just didn't. Went straight from nap 1 to nap 2 without a bottle in between. We've now stopped making 4 bottles and only make up 3.

Spitting up when sitting

Hey, my little one is 5.5 months and we've been practicing sitting in the hope he will be ready for BLW at 6months (will wait for the ready signs even if we are past 6 months). The pressure sitting puts on his stomach makes him spit up basically every time we practice. I've looked it up and it's because of the new position so it is normal for some babies. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Did weaning help ease it or should I wait until he stops doing this. I tried to ask my HV but her response was it will get better with age (obviously) and don't wean until he's 6 months old (I hadn't planned to, my question is, is it ok to wean if he's ready otherwise and still doing this). Thank you!

Meals with meat

Do my partner and I are in a bit of a tiz about when and how to introduce meat to our boy. NHS says introduce all food groups at 6 months but my partner would rather wait, where as I'm happy to purΓ©e and mix with meals. What would you do?
