The date of my Last period:19th April I Found out I was pregnant: 19th May Started Bleeding: 4th of June for around 4 days - period like Spoke to midwife on 5th of June and told to repeat test in 2 weeks. Positive pregnancy test: 20th and 22nd of June Spoke to midwife today & they told me to repeat test on Friday then see what to do from there. She said it doesn't sound hopeful due to the bleeding. 4th Miscarriage - miscarriage clinic.

I’ve had 4 miscarriages this past year and have a 2.5 year old already. The nhs referal appt isn’t until end of Sept and i’ve been waiting since Feb. I’ve had basic bloodwork including clotting disorder test and scans with no red flags. Does anyone have experience of what the clinic actually tests for and if they test for anything else such as immune related/ nk cells etc. I feel like i will have to go to a private fertility clinic because so far all i have been told is to try again and its common but 4 is not just bad luck now. I took progesterone privately with my last pregnancy as i read it could help but it didn’t work for me. I’m grateful i have a child but sad the age gap between my first and a potential sibling is getting bigger and bigger and may not happen at all.

Uncertainty

I've had a two ultrasounds done still no fetal pole. I'm nervous and scared. I had a miscarriage around this time last year. My OB sent me this message and it just fuels the anxiety

Hi Jayla, If your hCG is rising appropriately, that is certainly reassuring. At 6.3 wks, I would have expected to see a fetal pole, but that can vary some between pregnancies and people. I would be more concerned if it hasn't developed by your repeat US. Ultimately, I can't explain entirely why you're having discomfort and spotting, as it can be either benign or worrisome, but the above factors are what we really need to watch to monitor wellbeing of the pregnancy. Otherwise, you monitoring your pain and bleeding for worsening is the most you can do. If you feel like these are worsening, please seek help. I'm reasonably confident you are headed in the right direction, but if that's not the case, please do remember that most early pregnancy failures are not because of anything you did, but rather because there was an error at the cellular level and the body recognizes the danger of continuing the pregnancy. This early, there's nothing that can be done to preserve a failing pregnancy, especially if the underlying cause is that kind of problem. As disappointing and painful as that may be, it is a safety mechanism that is trying to protect you. But, again, I don't think we're headed in that direction. Let us know if you start to feel worse, Eric
