finding out your baby has CMV is scary! i’m making this group a safe space to share, learn, vent, discuss and just have a chat if needed. i also want to spread awareness of CMV i never knew it existed until my son was diagnosed at a couple days old.

Early pregnancy symptoms

CMV close to conception

Hi there, I’m only 5 weeks pregnant (just found out) and prior to conceiving I found out I had a primary CMV infection (symptoms began early January). At the time I was told to avoid conception for a year but at that point it was too late. Around the time of conception I was feeling so much better but as of yesterday the virus is still detectable in my blood, albeit a small amount. I’m very worried about the prognosis and wondered if anyone else has been in this situation?
