Anxiety during pregnancy...

I’m 30 weeks. Almost 31 and I’m worried that my bump doesn’t look Okk. Like sometimes I think it looks fat instead of a bump. I’m also starting to get super worried about the actual birth and how much it’s going to hurt ☹️ Does anyone else have these fears??. I’m not overly good with pain and I’m really freaking out. Any advice???

your bump looks good!!

Try a hypnobirthing course if you are nervous about birth. I am doing the Lionheart course and she has really helped me!

Hey Chloe i felt that way about my bump too. Learned that everyones bump is different and thats ok. Bubs is now 10 days old and i had back labor which means the contraction was painful and the actual pushing wasnt as bad as the contractions and i didnt get any meds - gas didnt help. Just remember when pushing, push like you’re wanting to poo

Your bump looks lovely. We all have very different shapes & sizes of bumps & some stick out more than others & look more bump like. But there’s no wrong or right! Birth does hurt I’ve had 2 babies & am expecting a third but my second birth was so much quicker & more straightforward because I had the confidence I could do it. I promise the more u relax & go with it rather than fighting it the smoother birth will be. & if u cannot cope u can have an epidural so there’s lots of pain relief options if u need them. My first baby I had gas & air, pethadine then epidural although she was born with forceps 5 mins later but it was a great 5 mins of relief! My second I just had gas & air. Have confidence in yourself. Your body was made to do this! X

I feel exactly the same as you! Im due in 5 weeks and i feel as big as a house, and terrified for birth. I was advised to look into hypno birthing but im not convinced it'll help. Every twinge i have im convinced im in labour😂

Haha 😂. I just think will look different once it’s dropped. I’m relatively Okk with the go with the flow thing and just see what happens. I’m terrified of tearing. That’s what scares me the most 🤦🏼‍♀️😩. Xxx

Same here🙋‍♀️

Your bump looks beautiful! I’m a big baby myself and was anxious about giving birth but I actually ended up loving the experience! I took the epidural (it didn’t numb me just took the edge off) which I hadn’t planned on doing but it really helped me and sped things up in my case. Just try and stay calm and read some positive birth stories. Youv got this! Xx

Thank you ☺️. Xxx

Thank you everyone who said it looks lovely 😊xxx

Your bump looks great, everyone is different. Try the positive birth company, when I first found it I thought it was a bit too hippy, but actually it gives you a really good understanding of how your body works and helps prep you for birth. It also helps you understand what choices you can make.

I felt same until an obg said if your bump isn’t huge you have good stomach muscles! Be proud mama you are strong. Also - epidural was great, made it less painful.

Try hypnobirthing it really helps x i felt exactly the same worries - I am the biggest wimp on the planet, I faint at injections, having blood taken, sometimes just visiting other people at the hospital 🙈 but somehow when you are giving birth you find this inner strength and it’s all worth it when your little one arrives! You can do it 👍🏻☺️

Thank you everyone xxx

Take all the pain relief sweetheart and don’t put yourself under added stress if you’re nervous x and your bump is YOUR bump don’t compare. It’s beautiful!!! 💚💚💚

Girl I love your bump! & that’s normal! Everything will be okay! Nice bra btw!

I wanna say first off.. You look absolutely beautiful & I'm not just saying that.. I thought it before I even read what you wrote.. Everyone hypes up the birth pain fr.. It's mind over matter.. If you're getting an epidural, Once you get it, You won't feel anything.. If you do it natural- Mind over matter.. I had 3 epidural births & 1 natural! Any questions or wanna chat- Jus message me 😘 Good luck, Mama! You got this 🤞

Thank you ☺️ haha little stretched now. I think I will be fine. Like the lady above said it’s all mind over Matter. I’m quite easy in terms of I don’t have a plan plan if that makes sense, but tearing is definitely my big fear xxx

Great bump! Try Pinterest for some ideas how to dress your bump (style clothes and accessories around it). That helped me feel less weird about it! I was terrified of labor, but knew I wanted the epidural, so it would be just fine... then everything went sideways and I had to deliver natural. 1) I panicked 2) the labor nurse literally yelled at me to shut up and breathe and be a warrior for my baby (sounds mean, but it totally worked!) 3) it was beyond the worst pain I’d ever felt. But the absolute craziest part? I’d totally consider doing it natural again. Because now I know I’m a warrior!! You are too mama. You got this!!

everyone is different!!❤️ your bump is beautiful !❤️

Pain tolerance goes out the window giving birth. You are stronger than you think. Your body was meant for this & your adrenaline will take control. You got this!!! Also, all bellies look different. You’re carrying a ton of water in there, it’s okay to look squishy as long as you’re feeling baby move!

Every bump is different ❤️ this is my second pregnancy. It hurts SO bad but it’s over quick and the medicine really helps don’t feel bad for taking it.

Your bump is great. I have a high BMI and sometimes feel like my bump is more fat like but still love it. I am also constantly reasoning myself through scenarios where I go into early labour. I think it’s normal to be a bit anxious
