Speech

Is anyone else’s speech with their little one delayed 🙁.

Only saying a handful of words. And not consistently.

Trying not to worry as health visitor says she isn’t overly worried and as he understands everything and his gross Motor skills are above what he should be doing.

Our little one is bi-lingual and he is just starting to really talk. He will be 2yo end of this month and he started talking overnight roughly a month ago. Before that he wasn't even trying or repeating anything, not even animal sounds.

How old is he now? It can literally happen overnight. I would encourage with reading him books, nursery rhymes on youtube etc. Lucas never even said animal sounds and then all of a sudden he said butterfly when he saw one. If they are developing gross motor skills, they cant develop language at the same time. And boys are usually more focused on movement than speech :)

Hiya! My little boy is saying only a few words and he’ll only say when he wants 😅 if I ask him what’s this he’ll look at me but then I hear him say the word so I know he knows - he understands us but I’m not overly worried right now, covid hasn’t been great for development and as parents were just trying our hardest ay! X

My little boy is 2 next week and he's so far behind his little friend (born 1 day apart) in speaking. She's amazing. It made me feel so anxious at first. He's saying some words but doesn't copy that much. He's so independent and does what he wants. It'll come xx

My little boy is 2 next week and he was hardly saying anything two weeks ago and now he doesn’t stop copies everything you say as well. I was so worried about his speech but your wee one will chat away once he is ready 💙 I got Mummy for the first time yesterday 23M and 21 Days old 🥰

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
