Hemophilia Diagnosis

Just wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I just found out our 6 week old has Moderate Type A Hemophilia. While we saw it coming because I’m a carrier, it has put a big weight on our shoulders because we hoped he didn’t get it like my sister’s boys didn’t. Just looking for a community to walk this new journey with.

Sharp agonising back pain coming in waves. Has anyone had this?

Hiya. I’m 26 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. Occasionally I have experienced a really excruciating pain near my spine and across my lower back. It does not ease with walking, lying, standing, or sitting. As soon as I move, the pain is unbearable. The pain comes in waves and lasts roughly 30 seconds. I’ve had it a few times throughout my pregnancy but it woke me up this morning while I was on holiday and I seriously considered going to the hospital because of the pain. If I was in the UK I would have gone straight to triage but as I’m abroad, I don’t want to go to the hospital and ruin the holiday if it’s nothing, especially as we will be flying home in 2 days. The pain has gone now but like I said, it isn’t constant and comes in waves every now and then. Should I be worried? Should I get checked out of can I wait until I’m back in the UK? Has anyone experienced this?

It’s causing me anxiety but I really don’t want to go to the hospital until I’m back in the UK.

Thanks xx

C-Section recovery

Did anyone else suffer a couple days after the c-section? Im on day 3 of my recovery and my whole body is suffering. Climbing off the couch is a 10 minute process. Getting out of a bed is close to 15. Why is my body aching like this? Im still waiting on the pharmacy for the rest of my meds (the ones that matter I already have).

40+5

I had my second sweep done yesterday morning where I was 1 1/2cm dilated, around 4pm I started getting back cramps which ramped up around 2am quite badly, I managed to take some pain relief and get back to sleep but since waking I still have this dull ache in my back. I’ve been losing my mucus plug over the past two days and this morning lost a load more along with feeling very emotional and deflated as I’m due to be induced on Tuesday but feeling so anxious about it. Does anyone have any positivity for a first time mum who doesn’t really know what’s going on🥴

Sharp pain - 4 weeks 4 days c section

I walked for 10 minutes today and I’ve got a sharp pain my lower right/middle side of my belly. I kept walking around the shop and once I got to the car it nearly made me cry. It’s a sharp coming and ongoing pain. I get bloated when I walk to.

Anyone else had this??

GD growth scans vs real birth weight

I’ve got 9 days left now until I meet my baby girl via c-section!
And yesterday I had my last scan and she was measuring 7lbs exactly- initially they said she’d be 7lbs 7oz at birth but now it’s looking closer to 8lbs.

Anyway! Who’s had GD before and what were their predictions vs baby’s true birth weight?

I’m really curious 😊

I know the scans aren’t accurate which is why I’m intrigued to know others experiences haha.
I didn’t have a scan to predict weight with my last daughter but the midwife said she felt small-average and then came out at 9lbs 4oz 😝
