How long does your 2 year olds nap for during the day?

It is taking me over an hour to put my 2 year old to sleep at nigh recently . She naps for an hour or an hour and a half every day. Is this too much? She constantly wakes during the night as well. It’s becoming really stressful 😩

So I'm having the same problem. Except instead of waking in the night, she's taking forever to go to sleep and it's been so annoying! She naps 1-1.5 hrs at daycare and finally falls asleep at 930p but weekends she refuses to nap and is asleep by 8... I dunno what to do either!

Hmmm my son has recently started growing out of his naps. Takes forever to get to sleep in the day unless in the car and then isn’t sleeping until 8.30 / 9 at night. But it’s tough as he can’t quite manage without no nap at all and is exhausted by 4/5 if he doesn’t have one - a tricky time.

Does that sound familiar to your situation?

They all grow out of them at different times so could be she is just having a spell of resisting sleep, or could be she is growing out the nap.

Our 2 year old currently sleeps for 1 and a half or 2 hours in the day, and 12 hours at night.
I don't know what is normal though.

An hour and a half is roughly how long my daughter sleeps. Depending on how early she woke up that day she may nap for even longer. When we put her to bed we give her milk and her favourite Teddy then close the door and leave her. We have black curtains which came with the place so that makes the room dark aswell, she goes to sleep on her own. We’ve been doing that ever since she was in her own room and it’s worked 😊

She definitely wouldn’t be able to last all day with out a nap. Her nap time is 1pm and bedtime is between 7:30 and 8. For the last few days it seems like she’s tired downstairs but as soon as I take her to her room she’s wide awake and doesn’t want to close her eyes 🤷🏽‍♀️

On a rare occasion I let mine have half hour but generally doesn’t nap. She is in bed for 6.30 ish though.
I struggle for bed time if she does nap so we stopped… she goes in the bath for 5 as she’s getting tired

shower infront of children

Is it weird to shower infront of your children, or your children see you naked?
At what age should this stop?

I’m just looking at what everyone’s thoughts are as I have a 7 month old and at the moment it’s hard for me to shower without him getting upset.

We contact nap atm, otherwise I'd shower when he sleeps!

It’s easier to bring his play mat into the bathroom whilst I shower so i can at least wash, else i have to wait for my husband to arrive home at 5/6pm.

Keen to see what people's opinions are and how other people do this!

GIRL DADS TAKING DAUGHTER TO BATHROOM IN PUBLIC

If a girl dad needs to take his daughter to the bathroom in public and there are no family bathrooms … I swear video online of a dad saying he uses the women’s bathroom but always knocks and announces ‘girl dad helping my daughter go to the bathroom’ and I love that idea and mens rooms are disgusting but wanted to see everyone’s thoughts

Dummies

What’s everyone’s views on dummies? Are you planning to use them and if so at what age ? I am breastfeeding and my midwife said to avoid them as it might effect feeding but baby is feeding really well now and he has now found his thumb to suck for comfort ! I would prefer him to use a sterilised dummy than his hands that might carry germs but he is only 3.5 weeks not sure if it’s too early ?
