Kidney problems

Anyone experience any problems during pregnancy with the babies kidneys. Doctors told me the right kidney was not working at all at the 20 week scan, and last week scan the said the left kidney has reflux on it, I'm very concerned will my baby now need to have manger surgery when born, or have to go on dialysis. They doctor was not very good at explaining it to me just told me to come back this week for another scan, all he said was they mite introduce me early if the reflux is still on the left kidney

At the 20 week scan on my little boy they found he had a duplex right kidney. When he was born he had to have an ultrasound to check to see what the exact issue was he was immediately put into an antibiotic to prevent kidney infections which he still takes daily! He was referred to temple st and has had numerous tests and ultrasounds done to check how well both kidneys were working and if there was any reflux with either! they wanted to leave him until he was two to see how he copes with it! Thankfully he has never had a kidney infection and has just turned two so he will be rechecked soon! He may need surgery one day but for now we just have to wait and see! I know it’s so hard not to worry when you hear something is wrong but it’s great that they actually detected the issue on the scan and they will be prepared to treat your baby as soon as they arrive! On these checks they can’t be 100% sure until the baby is born so please god the left kidney is working better than they think❤️
