Hi, I stop taking the pill to try for a baby, as I didn’t have any normal periods with the pill (or any periods at all), my doctor send me for a blood test which came back saying my prolactin levels were high. After that I had another blood test done to double check the results (waiting for the results since October) to see if I need to do the MRI.
I have been googling and it looks kind of scary by mentioning tumors as potential causes and also being one of the reasons that I cant get pregnant yet. My doctor told me that even with high prolactin I can conceive but I have been trying for 5 months now and I am starting to feel annoyed every time I get my period, my next appointment with the doctor is in January 2022.
Has anyone had the same problem? If so what happened next for you? Have you managed to get pregnant? How long did it take to get pregnant after the diagnosis and control? Thanks x

I had high prolactin levels, had an MRI which came back clear so I now take Bromocriptine to keep my levels in check
Still working on getting pregnant

My prolactin was high, MRI came back with a small (benign) tumor so I began taking cabergoline 1x/week. It took a couple of tries to get the dosage right. Still working on getting pregnant through IVF.

Hey, I am in the exact same boat! I’ve been ttc since April and nothing at all. Awaiting an MRI. 🤞🏼 x

I’ve been with my husband for 10 years eight years into our marriage we finally had a daughter she has two now up until recently I’ve been dealing with issues which led for me to be trusted and I have high prolactin levels waiting for the MRI wish me luck

I’ve been TTC since January 2020, started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist earlier this year and went through a bunch of testing because my prolactin was high. Had an MRI done and confirmed that I have a very small tumor (pituitary microadenoma), so I’m on Cabergoline 2x a week as of right now. I had my prolactin and progesterone tested after starting the meds to make sure I’m ovulating and both of those levels came back as normal now. Hoping to get pregnant soon!

Hi everyone, so glad I found this app! Had never heard of high prolactin before and googling gave me the same worries, I found out last week that my prolactin was ‘slightly elevated’ at 800 so due to have it rechecked but just wondered what level you were told was slightly high or high please? Jess x

Wow so glad I downloaded this app. I found out my prolactin levels are high today. Reading these comments has made it feel less scary. Has anyone conceived since finding out?
