Hi just wondered whether anyone itches all the time as a result of perimenopause ? I can’t stop itching like everywhere? Plus many other symptoms, any tips on how to combat this? X

Hi
Yes I suffered from that, only thing that worked for me is prescribed HRT 😬

A few months ago I had very itchy arms - it stopped just before I went onto HRT but it was unbearable - have only been on HRT for about 6 weeks and still feel like I’m waiting for it to kick in - lost all my motivation - life is not fun at the moment 😩

Weirdly my chin itches especially at night. I can't go on HRT as there are female cancers in my family ☹

I'm itching and was completely baffled as to what was causing it. I've even changed my washing powder and bought itch relief cream from chemist. My arms are driving me mad I've scratched them till they bled. 😪 🙈

Thank you ladies for your replies it’s definitely a sign of menopause my face has started itching recently it’s very odd they say it’s your hormones changing but it’s so annoying. Xxx

I’ve been like this every night for months and months. It drives me mad. I could literally scratch my skin off. Hopefully HRT will help. Had blood test just this week so I’m hoping to get in it soon

Oatmeal baths are meant to help. I have noticed this & had unbearable at times but hate baths!

I didn't realise itching was a side effect of the menopause. I woke myself up every night for a couple of years scratching and had no idea why. Good to read this and know I'm not going mad!
It seems to have eased now. Hope it doesn't come back!

Hello fellow itchers 🙂 I've recently started itching (may, or may not, be meno-related - I've been on HRT 5 years and I think my hormones are having their last dance at the mo!). Have a little look at your diet/drinks for histamine triggers/levels. I think I might have developed a wine intolerance (red is particularly bad, apparently - I know! Not the wiiiiiine!) - and now drink vodka (lower in histamine stuff). Early days, but I think it is having an effect... 🙂❤

I itch constantly, it's worse on my boobs, makes me want to get sandpaper on them! It has started to subside though with HRT x
