I can not stop worrying about getting pre eclampsia… I have chronic high blood pressure that they won’t treat yet cause it’s not high enough at all times… I’m just so worried something going to happen :(

Try to stop worrying about developing pre-clampsia because the cortisol levels will only elevate your high blood pressure further.

Take care of your body. Try to push yourself to get at least a half hour walk in each day. The vitamin D and serotonin will help lower your blood pressure. Eat healthy. Talk to a therapist to help manage your anxiety.

Everything else is out of your control. There is no point worrying about something that could happen if you’re doing everything you can to prevent it.

Your doctors are trained in Risk Assessment and chances are the risks for them to treat your high blood pressure outweigh the benefit right now. Trust their judgement. Do your part by taking care of yourself. Keep communicating with them.

Choosing delivery date

I am having a c section and my doctor has provided two delivery dates. One of them falls on my husbands bday. We are in disagreement bc he wants a shared bday with our daughter. I don’t want them to have the same bday bc I want her to have her own special date. Also future kids might be upset they don’t have a shared bday. Idk what to do. Any advice?

Induction!

Hey there!! Currently in hospital to get induced, been here since 1120am monday (22nd) I first had the pesserie insertion and after those 24h I dialated on the outside of cervix only by 1cm. So they then tried the dilapan rods insertions, they didnt use a speculum for that and it was the MOST uncomfortable thing ever! It litteraly pinched me or something! Idk what happened! It was that painful and uncomfortable that I burst out crying like I have never cried before! I hated it! So ive been given some time to think and i decided to try again but with Gas and Air, in the delivery suite to use the things to prop up my legs, and then the speculum too!! Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?! Or what are your guys' experience with the same induction types!?

Baby came home today 🥵

I had an emergency c section Monday morning and i bought baby boy home today.
My house is sitting at 30-34 degrees and I'm terrified of him overheating. Any suggestions?
We have fans going and windows open to move the air about but it's just not cutting it.
Also any suggestions on getting in and out of bed post c section would be helpful 🙂 feels like my belly is a zorb ball and my womb is a sandbag inside it 😵‍💫
Picture of him for tax 💙

Worries

I’m a FTM having a c section in a weeks time. I am absolutely terrified, and I’m not even sure what about. I’m just terrified that I won’t be good enough for my little love, providing is not an issue she has everything and more but I still feel so unprepared and I think it’s the nerves of the unknown. Is it pretty normal to feel so much and borderline panic, I just want to do a good job and I’m scared I won’t be enough.
