Uterine Polyps

Hello, I recently started having irregular periods, from very light to very heavy and shorter time between periods (24 days). They have also been very painful at times and very very heavy for me. I went to the dr and she refereed me for a scan. At the scan they noticed that my womb lining was a little thick but ovaries etc were clear and nothing sinister. I then had a follow up with a gynae who did another scan. She said the lining was a little thick too and there may be a polyp there too. I am booked in for a hysterscope? In hospital where the gynae says she will look at womb using a scope to see what's going on. I am very worried as she says she has to rule out whether the polyp is sinister or not. I am really nervous even though she says that for my age (44) that 90 per cent of the time it is normal. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I have had no other tests done to determine whether I am perimenopausal yet. X

I know it’s easy to say don’t worry but the same thing happened to me the polyp’s were removed I was in and out in the day and felt totally fine afterwards my consultant said it was a common issue

The same happened to me , the procedure went smoothly and I have to be honest my periods and pain were less after the polyp was removed .

Hi I had similar experiences and bleeding was very heavy and in between my periods. I did have a polyp and yes it is worrying at the time but you have done the correct thing and are getting it sorted out. My polyp was normal and once removed it was fine. I then had a reoccurring episode about 14 months later and opted for womb ablation. I know it’s worrying but once it’s done you will feel a lot better 👍

Hi Amanda, thank you for your reply. As you said its better to get it looked at rather than leave it linger. I will be happy to get it sorted and out of the way. I have found that my anxiety is getting worse recently especially around health issues. Please God everything will be OK. Glad to hear that you are keeping well too x

Menstrual cycle syncing experience?

Hi all, read the book In The Flo from Alisa Vitti and feel like I've lived in the dark for most of my adult life 😯
Anyone has experience with cycle syncing your life (food, exercise, planning schedule etc) with your period phases? Did it help you in any way - feel healthier, happier, lose weight, get less PMS... ?
It feels like something everyone should be taught at school but no women I directly spoke to knows anything about it...

Period missing and no postive tests any ideas?

Last period was Feb 12th-16th. No signs of period coming. I’m on cycle day 40 now. My period cycles are usually 28-33 days. Now it’s currently predicting 34 day cycles. Regardless isn’t 40 days extra late should I go to the doctor?

Period late

Could I be going through menopause at 26? I missed a period 2 months ago then had one the next month this month no period yet just feeling crampy and like my periods going to come but nothing yet, sleepy as Heck! Sore breast I took a test but was negative then a couple of days later I wound up spotting for a little then it stopped thought it was my period but nothing do you guys think it’s pregnancy or menopause my hormones have been sooooo off since my 2nd daughter which was a year and a half ago they never went back normal

Chemical/too faint?

I feel like I’m not progressing as much as I should. These are all FMU. Could this be a chemical?
