I’m 18 weeks and started getting slight movements but they are definitely not regular, is this normal? As you can tell this is my first pregnancy and I actually panic when I haven’t felt one for a while 🧡

I'm at 20 + 3 and still not sure if I'm feeling anything from the actual foetus. I get heavy, hard, and stretchy feelings across my lower abdomen, but nothing that feels like a wave or a pop or a kick in any particular spot like people describe.

Sounds normal for 18 weeks and like what I had! I'm 21 weeks now and have proper movement and kicks

I didn’t feel anything until 19 weeks. 19-21 weeks I could go days not feeling anything. It’s only since 22 weeks I’m feeling something everyday, but still not in a routine or all day etc xx

I think it varies from each person. Ive had strong regular movements from 17 weeks, I was seen in maternity triage the other day because I hadn’t felt any movements all day and it’s usually regular. I’m 19+5 now and all was ok xx

Hi im on my first pregnancy and I’m 18 weeks + 5 days and in my 18th week I started feeling some movement. But at first it wasn’t too regular, so I’d have to sit down and relax for a bit then I’d feel some movements. Some days more than other but I think it depends on what your doing too? Xxx

Thank you everyone xx

I got a leaflet today about this at my scan, within it said that movements will be started to be felt 16-24 weeks and become more regular upto 32 weeks where it will become more regular until you give birth 🥰

23 weeks is when baby should have a pattern and when you'll be checked if movements are reduced xx

I started to feel flutters at 18 weeks but wasnt sure if it was movements. I'm now 19+4 and they're still not regular but I feel them a lot more and now recognise that it's kicks and movement. Seems like they get stronger and may become more regular.

I started feeling things at 17 weeks and this has gradually increased (I’m now 22 weeks) to obvious kicks and movements that I can see from outside. I feel her every day but some days are quieter than others and I still don’t recognise a pattern or routine! I spoke to maternity unit at 18 weeks and they said they arent concerned about any reduction in movement until 24 weeks as it is normally irregular until then. I do feel like I am going to be nervous about it after 24 weeks though! x
