Hi! My son was recently in food therapy because he his dentist suggested it after we were discussing his sensitivity to toothpaste as well as many other things. The food therapist suggested that my son may have SPD. We didn't continue going to this therapist because we didn't like her however I think she may have been right about SPD. He doesn't eat very many foods, he struggles at the sound of a spoon stirring milk in a glass, he also cannot stand the way his pants and underwear feel on him. The list is endless... anyways I'm very new to this world of sensory processing, if you have any tips, tricks or suggestions you have no clue how thankful I would be. I'm also open to learning more. We have a dr appt at up but it's not until next week. Google can't even begin to relate to what I've seen lately as far as meltdowns.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s so hard to find a good fit of a therapist for our littes. You should follow “theotbutterfly” on Instagram. Her daughter has SPD and she’s an occupational therapist as well, so she gives tons of great advice and is just real and raw about the struggles and frustrations that it can bring as well. Hope this helps. Stay strong mama!

Thank you so much! It's been a struggle to get used to this new normal for us. It's hard to understand it too because I cannot relate so I'm trying to be patient and understanding and trying to educate myself as much as I possibly can. I'll totally follow her. I need all the help I can get. Thanks again!
