Does anyone else still have to rock their little to sleep?

We’ve always struggled with his sleep, and I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about it before. I know a big part of it is his eczema but even now that we’ve gotten it under control we’re still struggling. He refuses to self soothe and fall asleep on his own. If he’s awake in his crib he will scream bloody murder until he throws up. If he’s half awake when we put him down he instantly wakes up and screams. I feel terrible and like it’s my fault that he isn’t doing this on his own 😔

It’s not your fault! Every little one is different, as mums we do our best to survive. I will have to say I’ve been very fortunate and my little one has always been a good sleeper. We have had periods of sleep regression though. She is in a “big girl” bed already and still sleeps with a sleep sac. I find that is essential without it she will not sleep. We also have had a noise/light machine going in her room since she came home. Our routine is always a warm bath and then a cuddle. I sing two to three songs to her and leave the room. Have you tried giving the little guy some Tylenol before bed?

Yea unfortunately. Our oldest has been an all nighter since 3 months. This guy though, bless his heart, but oh my. Same routine every day, he has a night light and noise machine. Because he’s so itchy we’ve done benedryl sometimes as well and even then he fights sleep. It’s so hard because on one hand I’m like clearly something is bugging him but on the other I’m thinking did I create this bad habit
