Looking for some reassurance I guess. We have been told my AMH levels were low and lower than expected for my age. I’m 28 and my level was 3 point something. Should I be worried 😬
They are happy to go ahead with treatment and saw a good number follicles during my scan.
Just worrying now I’m going to be an early menopause person and run out of eggs soon 🙈

Don't worry!! A low amh doesn't necessarily mean early menopause! And 3 isn't even a low number, I just assume it's low compared to your age. There a ton of other factors at play as well... other hormones that all together show your overall reproductive health. Seeing follicle growth is an awesome start! I would definitely start taking some supplements now if you're just starting this journey, this way everythg is good to go. CoQ10 for sure. Maybe dhea. You can prob find a fertility multivitamin. Good luck!!

My clinic said they are happy with anything over 2 and you are well above that so don't worry so much.

Sorry for this and yes 3pmol/l is low. I was 4.8 in April and last month I was 7. So it can vary a bit. Most important is that you also check your FSH. If your FSH is higher than 12 then that is hard. AMH 3 means you get max 3 eggs by doing IVF. However if you take care of yourself and take good supplements then you get good quality eggs. My first IVF I had one egg and that egg didnt fertilised. Second IVF I had 3 eggs, 3 embryos, 2 very good blasts. I am very happy with this results. I could have got pregnant naturally if I did not have other issues I have. I have hypothyroidism that can also cause low AMH

Happy to help if you want to DM me in regards to supplement and other ways to help low AMH

Hi Kirsten, my AMH levels are also low for my age… I am now nearly 9 weeks pregnancy with our first try at ivf! Hope that gives you some hope xx

Hi Kristen, they are very low for your age -yes. However the most important thing is age and so as you are so young your eggs are likely to be good quality! And if they saw a good number of follicles in your scan then that’s great- and surprising for an amh of 3. So it could be that the amh was a bit wrong.
I’m sure you will have a good chance of IVF success ☺️
Wishing you luck! Xx

Hey, I’m 33 and my AMH is 1.8 (also from 🇬🇧), but my AFC is 4 so also very very low. We’re gonna give it 6 months TTC naturally and if nothing happens we’re going to go down the IVF route. It’s so frustrating I know, but at 28 your egg quality will be great so I wouldn’t worry too much at all!
