Hi.. I am being dealing for the last years with early menopause. I would love someone on the same path. Sometimes I feel so lonely because it's hard for the people to understand what I am going through. I've been diagnosed at age of 38 after a couple of years of fertility treatment.

Hi Jesica - I’m on the same path as you. I’m here to walk with if you need to chat ❤️

Hi Amy.. do you want to tell me something about your story? Are you on treatment for the menopause?

How old are you?

Hi I’m 44

now but began this journey back in my early to mid 30s with a very early miscarriage then a referral for IVF

Yes I’m on menopause treatment although I forgot to add I live in the UK

I so sorry for you. Did you get to have kids?

I am 41 years old. I have my son at the age of 35 and when I was trying to have the second one was diagnosed.

Secondary infertility - bless you 💕

Apparently because we’ve begun this unwelcome journey before we were 40 we have something called POI - have you heard of it.

What is POI? My native language is Spanish, so sometimes I have trouble with the acronym

My mom had early menopause but we didn't think can be hereditary

POI is Premature ovarian insufficiency.
I gather it can be hereditary but there was no warning for me.

It completely blew my mind and still does - so devastated.

It's hard to accept the new reality. I got really hard too. I needed psychiatrist help because I couldn't get up of bed. Till today some days I feel like I cannot handle the day.

However, I found a group called The Daisy Network (website, instagram, FB, live zoom chats and webinars) - it began in the UK (now has international members) - specifically designed to support women like us. It’s been a life saver and I’d totally recommend it to you to join.

To all that, still you need to deal with the test and treatments, and fighting to control somehow your body again .

I'll check that out

I am in Canada.

Obviously this App is great for connecting with other women through many of the stages of life we can be blessed with but I totally understand how isolating it can be at such a young age.

Hey - I was diagnosed with POI at age 28. Now 30 and still navigating (and trying to start a family). Would love to connect!
