Keeps getting sick at daycare

My son is 18 months old and keeps getting sick, this is third time we are treating his ear infection with antibiotics. People tell me that it’s common for them to get sick often at the daycare, but it’s really stressful when they are on antibiotics so much.
Any mama dealing with the same plight ?

Oh it must be so hard for you.
I have been sick myself and since I am in a new job, I can’t even take much time off. Besides it makes me feel so helpless with him been sick all the time.

I am dealing with the same thing. My mother in law runs a daycare and my daughter is currently sick. She only goes 2 days a week and I end up getting sick as well. I have a horrible immune system. I'm more mad at the fact that there are kids that are sick and I'm not told about it and she gets sick from them... my daughter and I stay sick for awhile😭 missing a birthday party today for her friend. Or my partners sisters kids are sick and she always brings them around and never tells me,but I can tell they are sick from the snot and coughing. How do yoh deal with this?

Meeee!! My son is 18 months too and goes to day care pretty much alternate weeks because it’s either cough, cold, ear infection or hand foot and mouth disease. Everyone tells me it’s common and that’s how they build immunity. It’s extremely stressful to see him suffer with high fever and his lips even turned blue one time and apparently that is ‘normal’. When he’s sick I fall sick too and it’s so tough to take care of him while I’m sick. Then I have to take time off from work and work and take care of him. It’s all very stressful and overwhelming. I feel you! Please reach out if you ever want to talk it out.

I’m focusing on giving him a balanced diet (when he has an appetite) to build his immunity. I hope it pays off.

If your husband can handle your son while he works from home then we’ll and good. If he needs your help then maybe you can be upfront with your employer and work part time or take time off when you need to.

That’s a healthy diet. Just smash in some veggies and done!

Kids definitely get sick a lot in daycares but three ear infections already? I would get a second opinion. That sounds like maybe something else is going on.

Needing friends.

Hey I’m a 20yo mom to a super cute 6week old baby girl. I’ve been struggling to make mom friends more my age since I’m a bit younger. I love going on walks and hikes with her, or taking her out to grab a sweet treat. I really just want some to connect with, someone who knows what it’s like. Text me or let me know if you’d like to chat! 🤍🍼

Maternity allowance

Hi guys! So I am currently on maternity leave with my boy and pregnant again, my maternity leave is almost over (I took the full 52 weeks off) so I am due back work soon! I have just had an email saying I’m not eligible for statuary maternity pay again and they are sending me a form to apply for maternity allowance! I would only be back at work for approx 6-8 weeks before going on maternity again! So I thought I would use my holidays instead of actually going back but the manager has actually refused them. What I’m wondering is, if I was to hand in my notice, would I still technically be eligible for maternity allowance and get the full amount or would it be the £27 a week? Because if I did do that, then they would obviously still have to pay me my holidays that I’m entitled to?

Change of religion when married.. advice please!

Hi all, my husband has very recently and out of the blue turned to Christianity (we were atheist). I’ve been super supportive, we’re speaking a lot about it, I’m reading the bible to understand. To be clear I don’t have an issue with it at all (I went to a Christian school, just wouldn’t say I’ve found Jesus myself 🤷🏼‍♀️).
I just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation? What if I can’t come to the same conclusion and we end up not being of the same religion?

Really hoping someone’s gone through similar and may give me an idea of how it turned out please 🙏
