FTM here…not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I’ve had the most unrelenting back pain the past 24 hours. All the normal remedies (heat, changing position, etc) don’t seem to be helping any. I’ve also noticed an increase in BH contractions (they come in clusters and aren’t consistent). Overall I feel like I do right before I get my period, but worse.
I can’t help but wonder if these are signs that baby girl will be making her appearance soon. Thoughts?

Yes this happened to me and my baby girl Ellie was born on July 1, 2022

Hi Rachel... I had back pain for 2 days and then my water broke at 10am today hoping your princess comes soon 🙂

I had some bad back pain- couldn’t even lay down. Ended up getting as low of an epidural dosage as I could get, after some nitrous oxide, and it helped a tonne. Then gave birth 2 hours post epidural yesterday lol

Yes, my second I had extreme lower back pains, which turned out to be contractions and my water breaking was a slow leak so it took me almost 24hrs to realize I was in labor. Different women have different contractions some women back labor. Sometimes it's Braxton Hicks. You only need to be concerned it's contractions if the waves/pains keep coming in some sort intervals. This time around I've just started having some terrible lower back pains but it's a lingering one not contraction/spam like at all.

My contractions started with some mild lower back pain around 4am. Around 12 hours later my back pain was very intense during my contractions and achey in-between. 23 hours after my contractions began, I had my daughter.
I will note that having back labor was the worst part of labor and delivery for me and had I known how bad it would get, I would've gotten an epidural During early labor when I could sit still long enough for it.

Omg yes! I’ve been feeling the exact same things. I just posted something similar. I hope this means our babies are near!!!

UPDATE: Turns out the immense mid-back pain I was feeling was due to a severely swollen liver caused by preeclampsia (YIKES!). They decided to induce and they started the pitocin about an hour ago. Wish me luck!!!
